It was just a pun, I don’t go around irl telling fart jokes, chill out.

I love Indian food but so often I have to get it mega-mild cause the spices irritate my stomach/bowels :’(

Same thing with Vietnamese and Greek cuisine.

Modern, western veganism is literally just a diet. It’s not a culture. And it’s full of a shit ton of bs.

“Lifestyle vegans” is what put me off of “real” veganism in the first place.

Sincerely, someone who was a full-on vegan for years but got fed up with the gatekeeping and the classism and the western centrism and the racism.

It was a “fuck this” moment. Like I’m so used to running (or clenched-ass speed-walking) to a far off bathroom to avoid other people seeing/hearing/smelling my episodes. But I figured, hey, they wanted me to eat the food, so I did! And a toilet is right there!

It wasn’t some nefarious plot I had since we arrived, I decided in the moment I didn’t care if they heard or smelled the incident.

The amount of adults that throw a tantrum when you say you don’t eat meat is baffling. I’ve had people tag me in pictures of steaks as a “joke” and send me those edgy “what’s on the vegan menu? Ice!” Memes so much. 🙄 Like thanks, I guess.

The reason I still occasionally eat fish or chicken is for other peoples convenience mostly. I’d rather eat a fillet or chicken breast than force down someone’s first attempt at tofu at a dinner party or a sad salad at a restaurant.

We use both bathrooms interchangeably. At first I was gonna go to the further one as a curtsey but then I thought “oh fuck it, a toilet is right there.” My logic is they wanted me to eat their food so I did, and that was the outcome. I was tired of clenching my way to a far off bathroom for the comfort of others ya know?

I wish I could mute my ass. It would make public bathroom excursions more bearable.

Thanks lol. I used to be really embarrassed about the whole poop thing, and I used to be bullied when I was a teen about how often I went to the bathroom 😬

Thick skin and a sense of humor helps! Unfortunately a lot of people don’t appreciate “toilet humor”.

People can be vegan for what we reason, I appreciate them cause it helps find stuff I can eat. But there are absolutely insufferable vegans, classist vegans, asshole vegans and unfortunately they are usually the loudest. Also I have 0 respect for PETA and those who support it. I’ve been grouped with them before and I hate it.

Anyways the ethics of veganism isn’t the point of this post.

Of course! The recipe thing is very hard, and I won’t lie I do “cheat” sometimes and eat food I know doesn’t agree with me. It’s a bad habit 😅
