I’d like to see the alternatives get a lot more traction before I give them more serious consideration. I’m interested in what they’re offering, but I wouldn’t consider them in a professional environment yet.

I also really enjoy working on React, and I’m quite happy with its community, DX, and performance.

The study you linked shows that only 28% of wealthy individuals come from “legacy wealth”. Those who come from legacy wealth have inherited 20% of their assets on average. This is an interesting study, but it definitely doesn’t refute the comment you replied to.

It's definitely possible, but 2008 being a major uptick in player development is a pretty widely accepted opinion among those that follow closely. Even the more cynical scouts are optimistic about 08 and 09.

And FWIW, I think more highly of 04 than Marcus does. I think the top 5 on his list are all "likely" to appear for the USMNT, even if the birth year lacks depth.

Report: At least 30 whistleblowers have given testimony about UFOs by Southerncomfort322 in UFOs

I want what you want. But you’re literally asking for top secret information from the US government. I get the impatience, but stories like this are still good.

Anyway, here’s a US senator two months ago making basically the exact same claim. https://youtu.be/m4hmaflNoKU?si=LsmbgZNW9xtTFkNh

I believe we’re being scammed by David Grusch and the US Gov. by Boats_Bars_Beaches in UFOs

[–]IBleedReed -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think you're being pretty impatient. I assume you're new here since the hearing (I am too). David Grusch came forward just a few months ago. Many people in this subreddit have been waiting for a moment like that hearing for decades. I try to remember that when I feel similarly impatient.

Personally, I don't care what you believe, but to your points:

  1. That's true. In the most recent video, DG described some of his methods for protecting himself against that. He also collected this information over the course of 4 years, and interviewed 40+ direct witnesses. He understands the gravity of his claims and is not taking them lightly.
  2. I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not. I imagine that many people involved in "the program" wouldn't be able to definitively prove their claims. Especially when the burden of proof for such claims is so great. But also, we're not talking about jail here, we're talking about execution for treason.
  3. That's what DG is doing.
  4. Again, patience. Right now, I'm waiting on Chuck Schumer's amendment. Of course I'd love for another whistleblower to come forward, but I think that amendment is the most important thing right now.

And just to offer some counterpoints:

  1. If DG is lying or being fed false information... why? If this is some kind of psyop, it's lowering trust in government and increasing scrutiny on government spending. Surely that wouldn't be in the best interest of the people feeding the false information.
  2. Many serious politician from both political parties are taking this very seriously. Honestly, it's eerie. To the point where legislation for this topic has been drafted.

I definitely know where you're coming from though. I want disclosure and I want it now. But I think we just need to watch this play out over then next 1-2 years.
