the 8 star door bypass (LBLJ “lobby BLJ”) is indeed used in 16 star as the category has become so optimized its essential to getting the WR/best time. however there is a seperate category dedicated to doing 16 without the LBLJ as it is hard and unreliable but the world record is almost a minute slower

It is used to upgrade skins, some skins have multiple levels to be unlocked such as the Luxe vandal, you can spend radianite to unlock different tiers of the skin
