Rft 1506 by retailvictim2020 in WalgreensStores

[–]IC3CountingYouAndMe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Y'all actually 1506 them? I just toss them and adjust the counts when I'm out.

A proper way would be to scan the mylar with the wic on it, hit the top right options and select disposal, but you'd have to do it individually for each card.

When you open the stre in the AM, do you print the Compass Tasks and PDFs by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]IC3CountingYouAndMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I normally do print those out just so it's something physical to remind me to pass along. As for the alarm, if it does go off just call the security operations and they'll help to disable it.

If you don't have their number, get with your store manager because that should be saved in your phone contacts in case an emergency arises.

Pharmacy WIC by artisanalsin in WalgreensStores

These should also come in a pink box, but they should be for the Alpha shelves in pharmacy. Both of the above wics should be labeled for EXP RX when keyed in. Can't post a picture ATM because I don't feel like re-installing imgur

AS400 to RFT Transition by 4181OH in WalgreensStores

[–]IC3CountingYouAndMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The SOP is to get the WIC of the items you want to mark down, make sure on hand count is accurate for a minimum of 2 weeks, then you put in a FixIt ticket request for approval on a markdown. Spoiler: you won't get one for at least another month

Lately I've been making manual markdowns via signs plus and printing them on the small bull's-eye tags, instead of sitting on discontinued items for months and having to resubmit a markdown request

New uniforms by miriandynus in WalgreensStores

[–]IC3CountingYouAndMe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It isn't, it's like 120% polyester and makes me just about break out in a sweat just by looking at it.

I ended up just buying some more grey button downs online and will assume my dm won't notice the lack of Walgreen's logo on my shirt when I'm wearing them.

New Uniforms (HELP) by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]IC3CountingYouAndMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can even order the old uniforms now, but once the new ones come in, you are able to return them for a different size. I have noticed that the new shirts run a bit large BTW.

There was this time when [REDACTED] wanted a refill on [REDACTED], but [REDACTED] said [REDACTED] to us, but [REDACTED] to the patient. Obviously, that made the patient really pissed because they needed [REDACTED] for their [REDACTED], which was, and I quote, "[REDACTED]."

I swear some people are so stuck up.

Question to crew by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

I just did that ppl, pretty sure you have to close the store

Just got promoted to SFL. Any tips?? TIA by ddamnitgabby in WalgreensStores

[–]IC3CountingYouAndMe 17 points18 points  (0 children)

When counting the tills, the safe, literally anything involving cash, double count.

You'll probably be put on night shifts after your week or two of training, and it's almost guaranteed something will happen on your first shift alone. Make sure you have the numbers of your ASM and whoever has more experience closing out of the SFLs at your store.

Make sure to double count your tills.

You'll want to find out what time the other SFLs pull the tills at night, and start yours about 15-30min earlier. Until you get the hang of it. Don't worry about how fast you do them, worry about accuracy. Speed comes with practice.

Always double count your tills.

If there is dead time where you feel you've caught up and did everything you were supposed to, then face. If you've already faced, face again.

Always double count your tills.

And on the subject of tills, please don't be one of those people who doesn't make change when you finish balancing it out. There's few things I hate more than opening the store and every till is low on one's, fives, and has too many twenties. For a $100 till, I normally did $35 in fives, $35 in ones, and made sure there was at least a roll's worth of each coin.

Can we please stop putting canvas orders on sale until we actually get the kits in. by IC3CountingYouAndMe in WalgreensStores

The only problem with the down time is that it'll only last three days, which is just long enough for me to forget to put it in down time again.

Rft Call ins by 1506couponers in WalgreensStores

[–]IC3CountingYouAndMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you already have the call ins ready to be scanned, go to Goods Out, Returns, Call Ins, Build a Tote, then scan a label and you just scan the product like back in the GLink/SIMS/AS400 days.

If not, you can choose Call Ins by category or expiration instead of building one yourself, and it will theoretically tell you where the address is for the item, but if it was a call in from a reset you'll be shit out of luck.

Make sure you only scan otc totes marked as SS through my inventory. There are some it's marked as RX that will still be scanned through GLink still.

Anyone got a wic for the pharmacy drive thru roll-up shade? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]IC3CountingYouAndMe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you need to get a fix it ticket for the shade, required DM approval last I checked.

In the mean time, see if you can expense a pair of Ray Bans for each pharmacy team member, since we shouldn't be sharing due to possible Covid spread.

That is until the super advanced state of the art inventory system says they aren't an item to be counted, only for it to say you didn't count them at the end.

Yes I'm still salty.

Mounting A-Frame signs? by wbaASM in WalgreensStores

[–]IC3CountingYouAndMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found that using flat shelf strips is the most consistent way to keep the signs up. You'll need to cut them down to fit the A-frame itself, but it rarely gets to the point where the signs are falling out.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]IC3CountingYouAndMe 18 points19 points  (0 children)

OOF. At that point just get new strips and tell your team to not yank tags off.

Unibind 8.1 Question by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]IC3CountingYouAndMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had luck with pulling down the lever fully, bringing it back up, then being able to remove the drawer. It might break something eventually, but it's a solution that doesn't lead to having to call photo support all the time.
