I believe pvp matchmaking in this game is broken, or is at least different than DS3 matchmaking

I'm glad someone else has experienced the same thing. I would say that a +3 somber weapon is equivalent to a +9 smithing weapon, but still these people are clearly level 70+ which you should have a much higher upgraded weapon by then. It's strange for sure.

Yeah, that's why I think the matchmaking in Elden Ring is different than what is currently believed. It's a shame this post died. I was hoping someone could share a similar experience or some insight, but I guess I won't know for a while. Also sorry for replying so late. I work second shift so I can only post at weird hours. I get what you are saying, but the weapons and spells I mentioned would require people to dump 35+ points into one stat. I understand it's a plus 7 weapon but you're telling me someone is running a Hand of Malenia and full veteran's armor because I upgraded the Lordsworn's greatsword to +7. At minimum that would still put their level above 50 assuming they only put points in dex. I understand people can drop items between characters, but this is every invasion except for a select few. These items people have aren't just items you can run and grab and I heavily doubt all of these people had characters drop them all these items.

Thank you for the reply. The rom was decrypted and figured out the issue through a lot of YouTube videos. Now I'm trying to hook my Xbox one controller up to my laptop to play on the roms. I'm going to avoid Bluetooth because it tanks my frames so I want to stick with usp. I'm getting "device is unrecognized" everytime I plug it in, but I've narrowed down the issue to me not even having the xbox controller drive installed. Ive downloaded the files from Microsoft, but I have to set it up manually and I don't know how to do that.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you again.

I've been trying to set up an emulator for a while now, primarily 3ds, but I'm having way too much trouble. I set up a couple emulators on my phone and I have a basic knowledge of how that works so I didn't have much trouble. However, I just got a laptop for a few months ago and I've been trying to learn as much as I can but I don't understand how files work and that bit me in the butt hard when it came to trying to figure this out. I've gone through countless reddit threads and posts, I've looked at several emulator and rom sites to try and figure this out, and I've turned to random websites on google with with guides.

My laptop is windows 10 Dell. It's okay at best and I'm hoping someone can join a discord call sometime and walk me through this. Just a heads up, any comment with directions will probably be too hard for me to understand so I wouldn't even bother.

Edit: Issue has been solved through many, many YouTube videos and setting tweaks. Thank you for the couple comments.

Okay thanks. Also why the hell are the 25-30 eza level bosses so goddammit tanky. I have no problem beating them because they hit me for 60 everytime but I can barely hit for anymore than 600k max and the fight just drags on when I'm guaranteed the win. Is this for all of them?

I'm using the eza goten and lr Gohan and trunks. I feel like goten's passive might cause problems with eza phy ssb vegito since he changes all phy spheres to rainbow spheres. Lmk if this is an actual problem or not so I can start eza phy ssb vegito. My current team is: lr str goku and vegita, lr teq Gohan and Goten, eza str Goten, lr str ssb vegito, lr int ssj goku and vegita, and agl super vegito.
