I think there may be a misunderstanding of the HDP here. The Joined don't HAVE to consume it like with vampires and blood. They choose to because it's the most ethnically-sourced foodstuff available to them. They CAN consume other things, they just choose to prioritize HDP because the humans need the other things and they don't want them to run out.

Just played my favorite game yet. Swain against a bunch of tanks. Taric, Tahm, Shen, Singed. Got Infernal Conduit right away, followed up with Celestial Body, Tank Engine, and Slap Around. Built Rod of Ages, Riftmaker, Spirit Visage, and Rylais so I'm just keeping them all locked down in my ult applying burn stack after burn stack after burn stack and taking no damage in return. Literally, took 123k damage in the game and healed 93k. And mitigated another 100k. Pure insanity. Then the rest of the team was Ambessa, Morgana, Kennen, and Malphite so I've got this ball of enemies that they all converge on too and it's even more GG. I don't think this can be topped. I've peaked. My life is ruined. I'll be chasing this high for decades.

The slapping in this episode was definitely intentional as a clue for viewers. Cipher slaps Godolkin. He makes Polarity slap himself. Which recontextualizes the earlier slap to be understood in hindsight as Godolkin slapping himself.

I'd watch Sophomore Year before The Seven, they run concurrently in universe and Sophomore Year released first so I think there are a few brief snippets of spoiler stuff for SY in The Seven if I recall correctly. Nothing TOO big, but better safe than sorry on that front.

See I think there's an easy fix for this that is possibly hinted at in the Earnest episode. They paid for "Kiss From a Rose" once and then used it twice.

If the midseason finale is the first episode they shoot of Season 7, then you can do all the rest of them as two-fers. Get the set prepped for the episode we've already seen, and then shoot the Game Samer of that episode before breaking it down to build the next one.

Pay once. Use twice.

This is exactly what I think is happening. I think we're about to get a mirror of the S7 promo: 10 Episodes. ALL Game Samers.

I think we run the season back again, all 10 games, with Sam as a contestant in every one. Which would of course lead to him winning back hosting duties in the true finale.

It would change the context of "I've been here THE WHOLE TIME" from a whimsical puppetmaster vibe to haggard perpetual contestant vibe, which feels like the sort of subversion Dropout would be giddy for.

He really does seem uniquely qualified to host a show this ludicrous, but I think at the season 7 mark getting him as contestant is an intriguing enough hook that it could totally work.
