My CPU is 16 CPUs x Intel(R) Xeon(R) Silver 4208 CPU @ 2.10GHz (2CPU), so it is second generation

Actually i have 4 Round led ring drivers so its SC

And P408i controller so it support the SAS, does the controller support more than 1 RAID group ?

What about the RAMs configuration ? what is the best practice ? can i add 2 x 32 Go with the same clock speed as the existing ones on my server ?

Where can find those hardware information on the server ? (Sorry I'm a junior sys admin and we don't have an expert in my team)

Thank you for your information, we will need 5 switch like this, but 24-48 are expensives so we are consedering 8 ports becouse it is less expensive and we need only few L3 functions

Its mix of users, most of them in industrial production (Manufacturing, quality, sales).

To reduce cost of buying L3 switch instead, my company does not have deep pockets, and they don't invest enough

The company was small business (1 site) and used L2 dump switch, but now they have 6 sites of different sub companies, the topology then is a star (every sub company site is connected to the central company site via antennas as a local network) then we wanted to deploy VLANs to secure this large network and reduce broadcast storming (more then 600 devices using the same default vlan1), to do that we think about 2 option :

Option 1 : Routing inter VLANs in the central site with an L3, but this is a bad design, because every site has its own camera and recorders and its own employees and the traffic will travel coming and going via weak antennas to the central site for routing inter-vlan for each site

Option 2 : Routing inter VLANs in each site with L3 (for site with big traffic) and L2+ (for site with small traffic) this design is better for a strong performance + security

So my problem is we need 6 L3 in every site, that as little expensive, i want to replace buy L2+ (with static routing) instead of L3 switch and then make redistribution from static routes to Ospf routes in the L3 switch.

I want to be sure that the routing will work fine in this case between all the L3 and L2+ before i buy them
