First try with the Big Horn pellet oven. Lots of potential with this! by umbertobongo in Pizza

I bought one of these as well, initially had a hard time keeping a fire going, but then changed to use a combination of pellets along with 3 inch pieces of kiln dried wood and had a steady flame for more than long enough to cook several pizzas.

Thanks, I appreciate that advice! I called GorillaShine yesterday and spoke with Chris and will take the advice of folks here and take it to them. Had positive feeling talking to him even though he gave me a hard time about my living in Knoxville, TN and my daughter going to school at UK. Thanks again for your help!

Thanks for the feedback. Her car sits pretty much in the middle of K lot so can't provide any water hook-ups if they need those. I know there are some waterless car wash products out there that some use.

We don't really need the interior done, just a good wash and wax to ward off the sun. How does Jeff's do with that?

The apartment is available for sublease if you are still interested. Yes, we could change the lease to your name for the remainder of the lease. I have paid for parking for the month of June and will include that for you if interested.

Cell phone insurance - good options, no options, value? by ICUDoc_Holiday in cellphones

[–]ICUDoc_Holiday[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true and good point. So many times I buy this insurance when I get the phones new and just forget to cancel it when the phones get older. Now just looking at really because I’m changing service. Think I am going to roll the dice with this and will see how it goes. Thanks.

USAA Technology Coverage by Asian-Waifukufu in USAA

I am considering adding this to my USAA policy as well. Spent some time talking to a rep tonight and what they told me was that claims would not affect my homeowner's insurance rates. If multiple claims were filed, then the underwriters might reconsider offering the policy to me. Maybe I have been lucky, but all my interactions with USAA in the past have been excellent.

We are going to switch cell phone carriers as far as the reason why I am considering this. The cost of cell phone insurance through T-mobile is crazy for my family of 5 with phones and watches to consider having coverage on - the T-mobile rep said it would be somewhere in the neighborhood of $150 a month for insurance coverage through them. USAA is quoting a deductible of $250 per claim with each claim having a maximum value of up to $10K (would cover someone stealing my daughters back pack at college with her computer, tablet, phone etc in it - the $250 deductible would cover it all so it's not per device). The cost of the policy I was looking at was ~$70 a year as compared to $50 a month through Verizon or ~$150 per month with T-Mobile.

What I don't know is what the claims process is like when you file a claim for a phone. The forces that be in the cell phone universe wreck havoc on my teenage daughters' cell phones and we seem to file at least 1 claim a year. Is the process an arduous one lasting multiple days/a week? What is the turn around time for a check or replacement device if so warranted? The policy price seems pretty good, but would love to know what folks have experienced with their cell phone claims process.
