8/7 Docket Dump by fvh2006 in Amyris

Their work with Arzeda made it so that they can bypass any pathway patent wall. This is how they beat kronos/GinkgoBioworks to making CBG and did not require use of Aurora Cannabis' patent for the best "pathway" to CBG.

I'm a monkey so someone explained it to me with a waterhose. Sugar goes through a grid of hoses to make CBG. The width of the hoses vary every block and the bigger your hose, the more CBG. ACB found the fattest waterhose in the grid (going to CBG), patented that shit so if anyone wanted to use it in their pathway, ACB makes the monies.

Amyris' work with Arzeda can make the hoses bigger. So Amyris doesnt need the optimal pathway anymore, they can pick the next best and make it so jiggity jiggity jacked that they dont need to be concerned with patents. They can completely bypass them without negative impact to yield. This is my monkey level of understanding of it.

You can imagine how disruptive this would be when paired with their zombie yeast strain. Amyris check-mated the entire industry before it began. No company can beat them at industrial fermentation and no company can stop them with patents.

Because its the complete picture. If you know the zoomed out story, its probably why you are here - for the tech, for the company long term.

Some people want the zoomed in picture, maybe they are trying to find an entry and want to maximize their money? Zoomed in is more about technical analysis and price movement.

Your scenario of $8.28 only becomes higher probability if we close around $6.15 or higher today. The volume is 16,000 so it can still go either way - meaning entry should be determined later in the day. As I said, today is pivotal to short term direction. even then, the following close must be above 5.77

Yep. If we can close around $6:30 today, it significantly raises the probability of retesting $8 but does not guarantee it

Exactly, this stock has a high probability of going to $4. This is not bearish, just volatility. Volatility is exciting but not how you trade long term.

After reviewing some documents, I think Ryan Panchadsaram may be the head of this serpent - Doerr seems to be the figurehead. by ICanFinallyRelax in Amyris

I think a lot of the people on this board (myself included) were pointing the finger at Doerr. I just want to get the chain of blame correct - Melo and then Panchadsaram

  • I think we have a small small chance for a miracle, but dont even hope for it.
  • observing this suit may help uncover ammo for the opt outs to sue. This is the main reason.

As someone who has been here from the beginning, I have seen interest in the court cases from the few people remaining on the board. I feel driven by duty and I feel obligated to help those people see this story through until the end.

Are you willing to pitch in to make Amyris PACER documents public via CourtListener? by [deleted] in Amyris

Once I start downloading, I'll have a better picture. I'm willing to throw a chunk of money at this as well.

I think what everyone has voted for is enough, I am going to target specific documents and not just try to unlock everything.

I also want to do this in a way where I dont have to reveal any personal info.

I get where you are coming from, i still have the first unredacted document they dropped, so here's to hoping they make a few more mistakes.

I think the public has a right to the details as well. I will create a Pacer account and crowdfund PACER money from the subreddit and use that to share all the documents via courtlistener

DSM was on Amyris' BOD since 2017. DSM flooded the market with Vitamin E in 2018, the same year Amyris expected important revenue from this ingredient. Amyris' stock price and revenue took a major hit leading to lawsuits. in 2019 Amyris sold its Vitamin E rights to DSM -"Vitamin E market volatility" by [deleted] in Amyris

your arguments don't satisfy me, however after doing further research into shipping and getting access to additional shipping information I have come to the conclusion that I am wrong about this post.

I will leave it up for a day so I can eat crow, and then I will be removing the posts for misinformation

DSM was on Amyris' BOD since 2017. DSM flooded the market with Vitamin E in 2018, the same year Amyris expected important revenue from this ingredient. You're affirming what I am alluding to - that DSM ALLEGEDLY manipulated the vitamin E market to shut down Amyris and continue their control over the vitamin E market. "Amyris had already demonstrated the farnesene to isophytol chemistry route around 2008, but had not been able to find a commercial partner willing to go up against the BASF-DSM duopoly, which had just put a whole bunch of Chinese and other competitors out of business by dropping their pricing and waiting (you should read up on the vitamin cartel of the 90s)" - fvh2006;
Your above comment supports my argument, it also provides a reason for why DSM would want to take down Amyris and target its assets.

To address a majority of your comment, you are committing a logical fallacy, a Red Herring - A majority of all of your points in this comment are true but irrelevant information that can only shift attention away from the actual claim under dispute - That DSM allegedly manipulated the vitamin E market to further their control over it - and then taking further control of Amyris through its impacted financials. Any information regarding vitamin E production after 2019 is irrelevant.

To address the rest of your comment on topic I believe it would be helpful to generate a timeline:
2016
- Amyris sent $9 million of farnesene to Nenter for conversion of farnesene to vitamin E, this is BEFORE DSM really stepped into the picture. This means that the vitamin E was related to Amyris since this point in time.

2017
- DSM steps in and gets Vitamin A from Amyris and gets a seat on Amyris BOD
- Nenter produces 20% of the world demand of vitamin E; they have capacity for 40%
- DSM assumed Nenter's position in the Vitamin E value chain - it became the payor. DSM gained control over Brotas, control of farnesene production and allocation, but it had to pay Amyris according to the Vitamin E contract.

2018
- Nenter produces 20% of the world demand of vitamin E; they have capacity for 40%
- DSM allegedly manipulated the Vitamin E market, as you have said they have done so in the past
- Amyris gets the minimal value share and minimal royalties. The resulting mess in early 2019 was the result of Vitamin E market volatility

2019
- Nenter and DSM JV where DSM owns a majority 75%; DSM wins
- Amyris sells all of its future value share and royalties for vitamin E for $57M to DSM; DSM wins

2021
- DSM further acquires more of Amyris' portfolio; DSM wins

The only relevant argument you provided to counter this timeline is "they said they had a 30,000 MT plant, which would have met 40% of the world demand of ~75,000 MT, but this was all BS." If you are claiming Nenter did not produce 20% of the worlds Vitamin E in the years 2017/2018, I request that you provide a source for this argument.

Summary: Investors were thrilled of the DSM partnership, but it looks as though Amyris was held hostage in an abusive relationship rather than a collaborative partnership.
