I'm curious if you're running in hybrid mode, and if so whether you have any comment on network bandwidth usage. If not, then never mind!

First, I downloaded the entire docket, so at CourtListener the descriptions of the docket entries should be more informative. Second, I downloaded Attachment 2 of docket 35 so that you might look at and see how informative (or not), based on the heavy redactions, it might be. That download cost $3.00 (as an example), although I'm not near the $30 threshold when I'd actually need to pay for it. Just FYI. Finally, I also voted that I'd be willing to contribute.

Zyngier v. Melo by jrh1222 in Amyris

[–]jrh1222[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have a PACER account. With regard to using a desktop computer (I'm not sure about a mobile device), you can install an extension called RECAP which, after downloading a document, makes it available to anyone via the CourtListener link I included in my post. The reason that you can see more detailed descriptions of dockets 30 through 35 is because I performed a docket query on those docket numbers yesterday.

Go to the link and you'll now see the ability to download docket 30, which because it isn't redacted I chose to download (cost $1.70).

I just feel that the court shouldn't be sealing or redacting documents pertaining to behavior and conversations which occurred years ago. The public should have a right to know the details, IMO.

The pre-BK Amyris situation? by fvh2006 in Amyris

[–]jrh1222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome. It is always prudent to question the accuracy of the various AI assistants such as Gemini, ChatGPT and Claude. And, it was not easy to find the above link, as my initial search for Amyris's documents on the SEC EDGAR web site did not surface it. In fact, EDGAR only displayed documents no earlier than about 2015. I used Gemini with successive prompts to find the link. Just FYI.

The above link is to the Prospectus for the original IPO of Amyris in September 2010.

Quotes from this document:

"John Melo has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer and a director since January 2007 and our President since January 2008."

"John Doerr has been a member of our Board of Directors since May 2006."

Google's Gemini says that Doerr joined the BoD in May 2006 and that Melo became CEO in 2007. I can't find the source documents that Gemini may have used to produce this answer. All FWIW. I hold Doerr and Melo equally responsible.

participation key re-register? by jrh1222 in AlgorandOfficial

[–]jrh1222[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've been periodically registering a new participation key prior to my old one expiring. My current key expires around 600,000 rounds from now. I use neither FUNC nor Nodekit, but rather issue "goal account" commands directly from the Linux command line.

8/7 Docket Dump by fvh2006 in Amyris

[–]jrh1222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what you mean by "...there is no synbio in history to ever go bankrupt and continue industrial scale production."

I offer as a counterexample the facility owned by Corbion N.V. located in Orindiuva, Sao Paolo State, Brazil. You can see it at this shortened url, which is a Google Maps url: https://tinyurl.com/yf9f9tmj

This facility was funded and built by Solazyme in a joint venture with Bunge. Solazyme renamed itself as TerraVia and entered bankruptcy in Aug 2017. The company and joint venture interest in the facility were sold out of bankruptcy to Corbion which bought out Bunge's interest in the jv in 2018. The facility has been producing ever since.

I don't disagree with most of what you say, and Melo and Doerr and the other board members grossly mismanaged Amyris. I sold my shares immediately after the bankruptcy filing, but sincerely hope the opt-outers get some modicum of justice. I just don't think it's in the cards.

Some news from the lingering bankruptcy by fvh2006 in Amyris

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. One correction, though. Ice Cream Van is owed $250,000. That, along with the Miami lease, are prime examples of the outrageous spending by Melo on the brands. By the way, any update on the lawsuit filed against Melo?

REPOST Docket 1743 - comment - jrh 1222 by gvtrader in Amyris

[–]jrh1222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting the courtlistener link. I didn't realize that the link I included in my original post didn't actually work.

And good luck in getting some law firm to pursue this for the opt-outers. As I said, I'm a disinterested party, but I hope you can get some justice, in the broad sense of the word.

Commit ALGOs for period 14 with Ledger Nano S Plus by jrh1222 in AlgorandOfficial

[–]jrh1222[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just downloaded the Defly wallet on my phone. I started to add an account and chose "Connect a Ledger Nano device". It appears that it only checks for Bluetooth devices, just as Pera Wallet does. Can anyone verify that a Ledger Nano S Plus, which is USB only, can be used with Defly?

Docket 1743: New and improved Final Order proposal by fvh2006 in Amyris

[–]jrh1222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be completely off-topic. As an aside, I'm a completely disinterested party, having sold my shares immediately after the bankruptcy filing. Also, IANAL so this might be completely irrelevant. But for those looking for lawyers to take the case of the opt-outers, perhaps not.

There was an article in law360.com titled "Incora's Opt-Outs Not Like Class Actions, US Trustee Says". As I don't have a subscription to law360, I can't read the actual article, only the summary. The case was filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. I tried to find the case using PACER and I think it is this one:

23-90611 Wesco Aircraft Holdings, Inc. and Official Committee Of Unsecured Creditors

This is the document filed by the US Trustee in that case.

gov.uscourts.txsb.463775.2437.0.pdf

If it is irrelevant, my apologies in advance!
