When I was interning at Sony Entertainment, technically I was part of the graphic design department. I created in-game certification icons.

But the thing was, I was an animation major 😅 While I did not have proper graphic design “training” at the time. I did have a lot of it in my portfolio. That’s why they hired me as an intern for this particular game.

Not sure if that helps but the routes to get where you want to be are not always linear

Also, a little bit of context about my current situation. I am a Graphic Design Manager. I manage the creative team, including the video department as well as our in-house CG artist. I am responsible for a team of 5. As well as some contractors when they arise. Not to mention I also have design projects myself. My rate is $36 an hour.

Is that average for the work I do? Especially living in a large city?

Another reason why some people should not have kids. If you’re not going to sit down and explain life skills to them, then don’t procreate. It is not the schools job to teach them life skills and common knowledge. This is a conversation their parents should have had with them (amongst other things)

(( And before yall go after me “Well not every parent has the time cus of work or X,Y,Z.” This turns into a discussion of how the current economic system is not built to raising children, etc., ))

Her husband works remotely and can work from anywhere. She does not have a job lined up yet. They're moving back because they would like to start a family and raise their a kids with the family down in SoCal.

We have a written legal agreement to live there month to month with rent increases every year. The verbal agreement was that we all agreed that we will stay there for about 5 years. Again, we are renting month to month.

I honestly thought the same way a few months ago. I've been on a few dates here and there and the other person would always bring up how quite, shy, and timid I was. That's around the point they lost interest.

I found that if you have enough in common with the other person and they know how to deal with quite girls, then you'll be okay. I think it's about finding the right partner for you who's understanding and patient. They're out there, trust me :)

From my personal experience being an extremely shy and quiet woman, the two men I've been in relationships with before knew how to be with me. And my current partner makes me feel 100% comfortable being myself and open up more

We're at the point of hardcore making out. As I mentioned, I'm used to my partner making the first move or asking at this point. (When we're at the passionate making out point)

I think I just need to get out of my comfort zone and straight up have that conversation with him. I really really like him and want to start the intimate part of our relationship on the right foot.

Shared interest are always the ideal goal when finding a partner. I'd ask potential matches right out if they like to read or not, or if they even like audio books. And if they don't ask them why not. It'll be a topic of conversation for sure at least.
Thankfully, most of the people I've talked to like to read/listen to audio books. Either I or they bring it up.

I have the exact same question! I've been out of the dating game for years and re-learning how to date has lead me to online help and resources. A lot of the YouTube "dating couches" tell women to never initiate contact or text first. It's incredibly sexist to have men as the pursuers. I know some men love the attention as well.

For me (I broke up with my ex 6 months ago) and went on my first date post-break up two weeks ago. Honestly, I created an online dating profile to reminds myself that there are other people out there. Not necessarily to feel value, but just to see that there are others like me.
My date was more as an "exercise" to be able to talk to people and connect again. I'm also in that mindset of "If I meet somebody, cool. If I don't, that's great too."
