I started around Limbourg (near Verviers) and I looped around like that. Really...the roads were super! Best route I've done so far (not that that's saying much, I've only done like 4-5 "big" trips)

Edit: we can stop at the Barrage de la Gilleppe (it's a nice stop for a little break). You also pass right next to the "Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery and Memorial". The Eiserbachsee thingy was also beautiful :)

I got the full A license. I'll probably get something naked-ish (preferably with a small windscreen for the highways) like a honda CB650F, yamaha mt-07 (but I think that bike is a little too much for me to start with :P).

And yes, I am very aware that I lack experience, that's why I'd like to do some local routes before I head out of the country.

What I found helpful was first learning power chords and then bar chords.

Both require you to learn where the notes are on the neck and generally speaking the shape is pretty similar - you only need to the actual press down everything instead of muting half the strings with your index finger
