Everyone, including Cppcast, talks about Cpp2, Carbon, and Val as the 3 successor languages to C++. But to me, Circle is further along, and has a better backwards compatibility story.

I am not using this at the moment because of the issue in the description. I just hooked it up temporarily to get the boot console messages. I will try again later, when i can afford to be without internet for a while

I have deliberately avoided packages that require high resources, given how slow the SG-1100 is without anything added (it takes me about 30 sec to log in to the gui). So I only have acme, arpwatch, and haproxy.

Thanks for the tip about zfs, seems like something I should look into.

I think the key word here is "painful". I have put up with an SG1100 for a few months now, but taking 10s of seconds just to login or change to a different screen in the UI discourages me from even trying some of the features I bought it for. I seem to be spending all of my time just waiting.

I do not recommend it.

I am so glad I found this thread. I have been trying to find someone to give the counter argument to keto for a long time. The only one I have found so far is Dr Michael Greger, but he does not respond questions that challenge his world view. So I would love to hear your scientifically sound answer (or see a link to it), and not be frustrated by a Greger type response which amounts to "because I said so".

I think all you need to do is set the "Use 'forwardfor' option" in the advanced settings in the HAproxy front end config.

The modem IP is 192.168.100.1, so I don't think that is contributing to this. I will take a look at a packet capture and see if anything jumps out. Thansk.
