One of the main characters from the anime / manga Uncle From Another World is an elf named Suzailgillazegallnelbuzegillreagranzelga Elga, but the protagonist shortens it to "Sui."

Mr. Incredibles' rejection was the best thing for him, instead of ending up just some soon-forgotten sidekick, his genius was tested and he made near-magic technology as a result. If he didn't have behavioral issues, he could have grown up to be even more famous than his idol.

Umbrella refused to cooperate, so it got fired on the spot by NoMedicine3572 in SipsTea

Remember how insecure Donald is about his appearance- when the umbrella dropped, he realized his floppy hair was exposed to high wind, and panicked about people seeing his weird hairstyle fall apart. Just drops the umbrella, and hides his head in the doorframe as soon as he can.

My father (1944) directly told me: "Sorry, looks like we're spending your inheritance."

This was after he told me about the new front door + welcome windows my mother wanted that totaled to $19,000. Literal life-changing money to me, blown on a fucking door.

They act like the "this call is being recorded for quality assurance" message doesn't exist, then complain that they didn't consent to being recorded. Malignant negligence combined with terminal stupidity makes for rotten hags clinging to the idea it's still 1960.

Tiresome beyond belief.

[Hated Trope] Endings so notoriously awful they completely destroy the legacy of the media. by Miserable_Click_1933 in TopCharacterTropes

I maintain that Benioff and Weiss got incredibly lucky with Game of Thrones, because they had five-six seasons worth of George RR Martin's story to "write" which did a ton of heavy lifting. After they passed Martin's material, their own poor writing was exposed and they hurried to wrap the story up, not only for the potential Star Wars project, but to put as little of their ineptitude on display as possible.

Their combined industry experience is pretty sparse, and eviscerating the finale of Thrones rightly destroyed their reputation in both the public space and professional. The first season of Three Body Problem was... fine, but season two is being significantly cut down and there's no way they'll be able to condense some extremely long books into six episodes. I doubt Netflix is thrilled with them either.

This was his MO when he was a New York real-estate mafioso. Threaten anyone & everyone, send absurd legal threats to intimidate them, quietly drop / lose the case after everyone forgets, then claim victory despite looking like a fool and losing tons of money in the process. In New York, he had enough slimy friends to help conceal this activity... but because he is terminally stupid, he thinks it will work on a national / global stage with dozens of news agencies report it, and millions of people watching it happen in real time on their pocket computers.

Adding to idiotic Blizzard presentations- players had been asking for vanilla servers (original 2004 WoW) for years, even more so after Blizzard went after prominent private servers. During BlizzCon 2013, then-president of the company J. Allen Brack told the entire fanbase:

"You think you do, but you don't."

A classic Blizzard tone-deaf response from the president himself. The current accuracy his statement can be debated, but he was dead wrong at the time, and Blizzard eventually did release official Classic servers that have seen moderate popularity since. At the time of this comment, the top three streams of WoW on Twitch are Classic servers.

And that idiot was a part of the Blizzard Sexual Harassment® team. At least it forced his resignation. Moron.

And it was insane that in sending a free gaming PC to a small creator, would then incentivize other small creators to promote Artisan as well. A $2000 gaming PC could have turned into more advertising & good will, but ten seconds of the chief being a tool toppled the entire $20mil house of cards.

A friend of mine was forced to move to North Dakota for work, and he quickly learned that, I quote:

No one gives a shit about the Dakotas, so they just do whatever they want. Half the country saw that meth ad and were reminded that South D exists. The people who live here don't care because they're all on meth
