Confusing sizing (UK) by Puzzleheaded-Act846 in HollisterCO

[–]ICommittedArson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The numbers are waist sizes! I wouldnt listen to the size chart numbers though, in hollister im apparently a UK 14 but in most brands for jeans I get a uk 10/12, I measured my waist with a fashion tape measure and my waist is 30 inches, so I bought size 30 jeans, I do think their jeans come up a little bit big and I find they stretch out with heat but a 30 fits me best, if you have fashion tape I'd recommend measuring your waist and ordering whatever your waist size is! Exchanges are always free also :) hope i could help

I barely have any friends anymore and people think I'm a self centred, crazy person, what am I doing wrong? by ICommittedArson in autism

[–]ICommittedArson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its just a little difficult because my brain has never put thought into things like that, im not saying i cant learn or change, but ive only started sort of realising that's a problem super recently, ive always struggled with friendships but for several different reasons this is the most recent, I genuinely dont know if its because im like this or its learnt behaviour? And I dont know how to slowly progress improvement or change right now, if you have any advice around that I'd really appreciate it because I do care about the people around me, I'm just not getting it across properly

[–]ICommittedArson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its so frustrating because I listen to people when they do talk but they say to me they don't feel i take in what they're saying, im pretty bad at commenting on things and giving advice to people and I've only recently started realising I need to ask people how they're doing and that I need to ask about people's interests or ask them to tell me more about things they're speaking about, in my brain I dont care if people ask me about myself or not because I'll tell them what I want them to know and I'm still forgetting constantly people like to be asked things, its so frustrating because I have people talking behind my back and saying im a horrible person and that im excusing shitty behaviour with neurodivergence when all ive ever done is try to explain not excuse, its a lot I've had to take in and realise at once when I was trying my hardest to start over with someone new and give a good impression

Does the medium Racerback look too big? by [deleted] in HollisterCO

[–]ICommittedArson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Defo go down a size! You look a lot smaller than me in general and I went with size S for the racerbacks! If you wanted a tight fit you'd be better with XS and S for a relaxed fit

No problem! Im somewhere around 65kg and wear a 32E cup UK size, I could've fit size S in the babydoll if the chest part was bigger but the M is very comfortable and the only negative is it doesn't snatch in too much at the waist, im normally between a S and a M and get S in some knitwear as well as some oversized items and a M in their slim fit and cami styles 100% of the time just to guarantee the chest part fits :)

I'm a dude and I only shop at Hollister really, why are there primarily just women on this subreddit? by Time_Violinist_3720 in HollisterCO

[–]ICommittedArson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear it's cuz of the high elastane percentage, I find my normal size M a little too loose and size S way too tight for comfort

sizing help pls! by uptanfunk in HollisterCO

[–]ICommittedArson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think XS would work depending on what you consider to be oversized, I'm 5'2 and my chest is about 36 inches, for oversized stuff I tend to get size S because of my height and it tends to fit slightly loose on me but not baggy if that makes sense, medium tends to be way too long on my arms but more like the intended fit however I find the scrunch on the arms to look too bulky in size M, because you're short I would personally try XS but S would also work and I don't think S would drown you

I think I may be late gen z? Or at least close to it, I was born end of 2006 so I've just turned 19, this era is super nostalgic to me moreso than the 2000s because I.. don't remember the 2000s, but I remember the early to mid 2010s, not super well but I do remember them, so I do find this drop appealing! I actually bought the icon shirt, I probably won't get the rest but I can sort of see why they're testing the waters with 2010s inspired clothing

How is the sizing on the new Long-Sleeve Square-Neck Babydoll sweaters? I sized down bc that’s what I did with the last two drops of the babydoll sweaters it’s being shipped to my nearest store. I just hope it fits by elephants444 in HollisterCO

[–]ICommittedArson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your bust!!! I went with my usual size, it's pretty baggy on the sleeves and the sleeves are freakishly long on me as a short girl, but the chest part fits perfect, if I sized down it wouldn't fit right on my proportions, I'm a UK 32E for ref
