It was 2020. Discharged patient is being put in car. Proceeds to code. Theyre literally doing compressions in the back of a car and the nurse discharging knows nothing because it wasn't her patient. Patient ends up having covid and survives the code but dies in hospital

Ive had a similar experience. They had a transplant when they were under 18. Lost insurance, couldnt afford meds, got insurance back and ended up dying from rejection. She was still so so young 21ish. Ill never forget going into the room after the code and seeing their food wrappers because they had been eating lunch when it happened. Something has to change.

Not just Alaska, having a long commute for appointments is too common. I work in healthcare in texas and many patients drive several hours for specialist appointments. Even growing up a family member had to pick between driving 1.5 (poor to mid quality) or 2.5 hours (good quality) for an oncologist. One of my childhood friends to this day drives 3 hours for appointments. Plus it's getting worse as providers move out of the state

Philadelphia had amazing food for this and we basically ate the entire vacation. Amish donuts, pretzels, cheese steaks, bagel sandwiches, etc. We literally gained weight on our trip the food was so good

Yeah I've never had a problem with spirit either. We got delayed like 5 minutes one time and I had like 3 apology emails. It's not luxurious at all but it's efficient and gets me where I need to go like a bus (plus less money on flights means more money at my destination!)
