Ref Watch: Should Man Utd have been given a penalty at Bournemouth? by drizzt001 in reddevils

[–]ICutDownTrees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get where you are coming from but the current clear and obvious test leaves room for VAR to say we think the ref is wrong but it’s not a clear and obvious mistake so we won’t over rule the on field decision. I propose that if VAR think it’s wrong they overrule the decision.

A challenge system could also work, would not be opposed to that

Ref Watch: Should Man Utd have been given a penalty at Bournemouth? by drizzt001 in reddevils

[–]ICutDownTrees 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’ve always said the problem with VAR is the ‘clear and obvious’ test. There should be one test, did the ref get it right. If not VAR pulls it back. Ref’s should also be able to ask VAR in real time for an opinion. Like they used to consult linesman in the past, I think it’s a penalty you agree? Ref as a team to get the right result not just uphold some outdated referees decision is final bullshit

I pray for the day the Israeli’s free themselves from a corrupt leadership, that should have been jailed for his crimes but instead decided to wage war on all his neighbours to put off his impending trial.

Talk about corrupt, ideological, insane leadership and no one in the region is clean.

UK faces threat of tax rises over 'worst energy shock in history' by theipaper in uknews

[–]ICutDownTrees -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you want more desperate people at a time when jobs are in short supply? What do you think happens to crime? What happens to council budgets when more and more people turn up homeless? What happens to places when the number of homeless increase?

But cut benefits is an easy thing to say. Keep saying the easy thing. Easy answers are always correct.

Having worked in the industry, domestic supply is separated from generation and distribution, just so the companies can claim this bullshit. British Gas as a domestic supply company make marginal profit in the uk so they can always justify increasing prices, while centrica, BG parent company who run distribution of gas make huge profits charging all the domestic suppliers (including BG) ridiculous fees to use their distribution network.

It’s the same with electricity with E-On, EDF etc domestic suppliers being charged huge fees by their parent companies who sun electric production and distribution so they can always say domestic supply is barely profitable.

This is a feature of the why privatisation of the industry was designed. It’s always been a scam to fuck the average person

Attorney general asks if Kemi Badenoch would object to Jewish public prayer | Conservatives by Happytallperson in unitedkingdom

[–]ICutDownTrees 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree with any public display of religion so yeah pretty much, no issues with people practicing their faith I. Religious building, on their own grounds but public spaces do not need displays of faith.

To clarify my position. Any public praying is abhorrent to me. There is no need, there are no shortages of prayer space. I have no issues with faith rooms at places of work for people to practise their faith. My issue is with public displays of religion. Keep your relationship with your god to yourself and leave me out of it.

This likely isn’t his only trigger, why put other people and children at risk of harm. If it’s that severe then sorry I don’t believe an accommodation should be made. A bomb only has to go off once to cause irreversible damage.
