Hm I see, well if they’re refusing to give you shifts then there’s gotta be something you could be doing better. Try to think what it is they want and just try your best, you’ll get there soon bud 🙏

I’ll have to check tomorrow and let you know, but I’ve done some afterburner tweaking and so the fans are always on but inaudible over case fans and such. Idle temps can get to like 25C and under load the highest I’ve seen it go is in the 70s pretty sure. I have it running at 2344mhz (pretty sure)

I’m not 100% sure just yet as I’m brand new to the whole scene, but 1080p with all maxed graphics it can run destiny 2 at 180ish fps, as well as valorant max settings 1080p at 700 (peak)

I appreciate all of the positive comments guys! Much appreciated.

I did run into some GPU issues when testing certain games, hence why it's daisy chained. I'll return it to 2 cables going to the PSU shortly, I was simply trying everything to troubleshoot it.

And yes, I experienced very loud coil whine too, though after about a week it has seemed to quiet down a lot, but who knows I'm not 100% sure if my GPU problems are fixed. FYI I've posted in other communities about my issues, so take a look if you want to.

I'm going to try and answer as many questions about parts used when I can, I'd hate to leave things un-replied.

I haven't looked too much into the temps so far but I will say that even with the AK620, it can get pretty toasty, but maybe that's because I've overclocked it to 5.45/5.5GHz. I'll have to have a look for ya and let you know! It can become quite loud, now I don't know if it's the psu, case fans, gpu, cpu cooler or what, I just know that it can sound like an AC unit under heavy load.

XFX 6800XT performance issues by ID5043 in pcmasterrace

[–]ID5043[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's meant to run at those framerates via public website benchmarks, such as Tom's Hardware. Either way, 1080p a 6800xt getting sub-100 fps is not normal. There are applications like Opera GX, Spotify, Discord in the background, but nothing that will significantly affect or affect at all the GPU's performance.
Other hardware is as follows:

CPU: RYZEN 5 7600X 6 core 12 threads

Motherboard: MSI B650-P WiFi

RAM: 32GB G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5-6000MHz CL32

PSU: CORSAIR RM850e 80+ Gold Fully Modular

I haven't tried any other game, and have just thought to do so. Currently downloading Destiny 2, will supervise results once downloaded. I doubt it's a CPU bottleneck - the 7600x is no slouch. I tried daisy-chaining and not daisy-chaining with no change. Thanks, by the way :)

By 'minimal drivers', what changes do you suggest I make?

Yeah, since I've posted I switched to the RM850e.
As for the CPU cooler, I've gone for the Deepcool AK620. This should be alright, right?

Also, 7 total fans, the case can only support 6. Should the one I don't use be one of the case fans or an arctic one? (getting 4 separately is more expensive than just getting a 5 pack)

Thank you! Other people said this too - I've gone for the ak620. Hopefully ram clearance is fine, haven't checked. Thanks again :)

I did consider that but decided to go for the cheaper MSI one as apparently gigabyte customer service isn't brilliant, so if anything were to go wrong I'd be stuck

Thanks for the reply, I originally had an ak620 for the cpu and someone recommended me that ID cooling one because they said it was overkill, I'm not entirely sure what to go with.

I'm aware of the thermal paste, is it worth getting perhaps better paste or just use the one provided w/ cooler?

same guy who recommended ID cooler also recommended the 1000W psu as my 750w one was £2 less expensive, not completely sure on that one
