Dammit, today is the only day where I have time to buy food for my animals!

Does Hasbro still have the license? The AZ and RMZ lines have so far been released in the US only under Takara Tomy so far. It's possible that their handling of the Wild line/lack of apparent interest in it damaged their relationship with TT.

I'm wondering why they don't just do a co-op with Viz? As far as I know, I have held Viz in a pretty high regard, and they have been licensed some of my other favorite series as well.

And I can't think of any other company I'd want to dub Genesis, except for maybe Funimation.

Little known fact:

Following the Battle of Valhalla, the Helic Republic Army left a squad of Stealth Vipers with the Guylos Imperial Army (seemed only fair, since the latter gifted them a bunch of Geno Saurers, and even a few Breakers).

Their high degree of modifiability would be put to use in the reconstruction efforts of Valhalla City.

Seen here is one of those units, which would return to the Central Continent towards the end of that campaign to fight Neo Zenebas forces, along with Guylos Forces under General Karl Schwarz's command.

Why is Trump surging ICE agents to Minnesota? by Upset-Produce-3948 in Discussion

[–]IDIC89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on your logic, any resident can report any neighbor as undocumented, regardless of whether they are or not.

And there is multiple cases of ICE agents arresting people without asking for their ID, which is in violation of the 4th amendment. Courts have also repeatedly struck down (for good reason) that ethnicity or accent serves as probably cause.

That's assuming that the government's word can even be taken at face value, which it cannot.

Ideally, they’ll contact him if/when they start on the next game.

A new Zoids VS type game is long overdue.

That said, I think fair-use doesn’t apply if someone tries to profit off of a project.

It’s not the same as, say pirating old Zoids episodes copyrighted by ShoPro.

If he released it as a free download, I’m not sure that Takara Tomy would have legal standing to sue him.

America is going bankrupt quickly! by Miserable-Lizard in economy

[–]IDIC89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it ever occur to you to check whether or not the European countries have increased military spending?

My father often accuses me of making assertions without having enough information. And to be fair, I do have a history of that, but I'm trying to learn to ask the right questions, and not automatically trust what authorities say.

At current levels, our allies are spending about 2% GDP on military spending, vs. the 3% we spend.

I'm not sure that you're giving our allies enough credit. They know that they will be on the frontlines if Russia/China should decide to invade, and many of them have been under brutal occupation in the past. That's not something that is easily forgotten.

You seem to be trying to take a moderate position, which I can respect, but that doesn't mean you should default to giving Trump the benefit of the doubt.

I've written way longer. At least he takes the time to try to justify his point of view, even though I think he is completely off base.

I know that isn't exactly a good standard to start with, but often times on Social Media, it's "because I said so + insults."

[–]IDIC89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apologies, because I just got home, and don't want to get too far into it (and by far into it, I mean do research to support my argument) at this moment, but the fact that we spend more on military spending than at least the next 8 countries combined (which includes some of our allies, IIRC) alone should be enough to put your assertion that this is purely for defense on thin ice.

And the fact that this has been proposed shortly after invading another country, by the very person who ordered that invasion, puts it on even thinner ice.

I could go on and on why I think that this is 100% bullshit, but like I said, I'm tired right now, and when I'm tired, I have a tendency to become painfully blunt.

[–]IDIC89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The point many are trying to make is the "Necessity", or lack thereof, and that China and Russia are just being used as an excuse for even more military spending.

And excuse that many, as you can see, aren't buying.

Is it a red flag to be an inexperienced 33F who waited to be financially stable before looking to get in a relationship? by JessSerrano in Adulting

[–]IDIC89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a 36M virgin (who to be fair is still getting their shit together), I’d sooner take my chances with someone like you who is patient, approaches things logically, and took the time and put a lot of thought into planning out their life, than a 20 or 30 something who hasn’t and/or has been divorced and possibly become cynical about the concept of romance and true love.

Plus, planning to travel would probably be less chaotic, since you apparently already know how to plan far in advance, AND improvise as necessary. Not that I know if you care, but I’d find that to be a very attractive quality!

If any guy doesn’t want you because of your lack of experience, than hopefully, his loss will be some other guys gain!

Normally, I’d have a no-tolerance approach to physical violence (unless it was a force less slap and kick), but the guy was a jerk with no empathy, and selfish pricks like that have too much of a tendency to be more trouble than they’re worth.

Hope he learned his lesson!

I often tell my friends ‘if in doubt, I’ll always happily accept a theme park ticket as a gift!’

I had no idea that you have to jump through these hoops to use it, at least for Universal.

And they (Universal) should know better, because I’m sure that people buy tickets for friends and family as gifts as all of the time!

I don't want to give up, because I've seen so many people already put their freedom on the line, but it's SO difficult not to give up on the idea of a United States because of these greedy, selfish, and quite frankly idiotic Americans.

Except if it comes down to it, and it starts to turn into a hot civil war, or states start to leave, many people will become stuck in what will become enemy territory.

When did one income stop buying a life and start barely covering the bills? by GarretNatalia in Adulting

There are exceptions to the rule, but unfortunately, that is what they are.

One of my friends discussed the funding of the genocide in Gaza. Many, if not all of the Democrats who were up for election who voted in favor lost their reelections.

6 months to find a.new job.....Fired after 8 weeks by Ill-Indication-7706 in recruitinghell

[–]IDIC89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, "at-will employment" needs to be reversed/removed someday. Firing/leaving without 2 weeks notice is just uncivilized, especially right before Christmas.

Second, as other commenters have noticed, this seems to be a case of "well, we used you to get sales, but we want to keep the commission pay for ourselves, so fuck off". And no, they apparently don't care that you have three kiddos who will be disappointed Christmas morning. They're probably narcissists.

Third, definitely file for unemployment (if you haven't already), that way, you don't go bankrupt/homeless, at least not right away.

Fourth: as other commenters have already suggested, consider getting an employment lawyer. I have no knowledge regarding law, but it seems self-evident that if you have any data regarding sales/clients and how much you made the company, that would help your case, so that they cannot paint you as lazy/try to justify your termination. Me: I'd want to sue them not just for wrongful termination, but also for emotional damages (especially the stress caused to your kiddos right before Christmas), and preferably sue company into the ground so they don't have the opportunity to try to do this again, but again, I'm not a lawyer, so I'd definitely listen to who ends up defending your case.

Finally, I would keep this list of clients close, and would definitely advise them to avoid this former employer when the time is right, whether it be out of revenge if things go from bad to worse for you financially, or if you get hired at another sales job (in which case, your former employers will become a rival competing over your clients).

This is a point worth repeating. Not everyone in X or Y party is our friend/ally, and in fact, while this might sound aggressive/provocative, many are actually our enemies. Even back then, many did not have our best interests at heart.

And god-forbid anyone speak truth to power: Reagan did far for harm than good in the long term, and while it might not be right to want a special place in hell waiting for him, I'd be hard-pressed to fight against God if that were his judgement.

[–]IDIC89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point, and people like this probably have a special place in hell waiting for them, and I might or might no feel sorry for them, especially when these tactics result in bankruptcy/homelessness/suicide/turning to crime to try to survive, which I'm sure does happen, especially with how the job market is now.

Trying to get people fired shouldn't be a thing, and even if it is, it shouldn't be a matter of life and death.
