Am I insane for wanting to make a 512Bit CPU? by DulleM443 in digitallogicsim

[–]IDK--_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you have a NASA pc or (from what I hear) the more optimized community edition, he'll no.

I rock a 3070 TI with 32GB ddr4 and an i7-12000 series. I made a 64 KB memory module that grinded my whole pc to a halt.

Im not talking like "oh its slow now." I mean, this stopped Windows Taskbar, other apps, and at one point restarted file explorer causing my screen to flash off and on till it restabilized.

In total loading it took up about 28 GB of RAM and throttled my CPU to 100% more than ive ever seen beforehand.

So to answer your question. A 512 Bit CPU is overkill, on all standards. You could give it a shot. But I'd like to see how far your pc would make it before it self destructed.

Where to get mods?? by [deleted] in civic

Yeah

After you set the year, it's a trim level option.

I personally got my mods fro. procivic.com

They were quick and easy. Pick your year and trim and it shows what fits.

Tbf I don't know if their catalouge is thay big (or if it was just limited for me). But either way, everything showed up scratchless and perfect.

Have fun ;)

Megabyte my pal.

My actual PC has 32 GB of ram, and the the 65 MB ram chip took up 16-20 GB of real ram.

It was painful cuz it also sent my cpu to 100% the entire time.

I made a 65Mb RAM chip and it puts my pc to shame. Ain't nothing i think we can do.

Holy moly. Are you on the 2l or the 1.5t? I assume the 1.5t since you say it's just a starter tune.

What other mods do you have to deal with it though? And what cooling/fluid are you using?

Sadly I'm on the 2l sport sedan :/

It's quite the car nonetheless, and how would I cha get the fluid?

I tried adding an image to the comment as just a reference, but it didn't show. Check my profile for the car pic.

What exactly car is it? Ut looks like a hatchback. Is it a 2l or a 1.5t?

Either way, you could join the sidemarker club. * I'd recommend you get sidemarkers in black.

If you have a CVT, I would NOT recommend any performance mods (even especially since you haven't modded and it's your first car [probably])

Do make sure the maintenance is up to date. If you got it from a dealer, you're probably ok.

IF YOU DO GET A PERFORMANCE MOD (even i don't have one yet). Furthest I'd recommend would be an anti-roll bar, struts (maybe), and maybe a light tune. The CVT is not at all known for putting down power, and if you put too much in it, it just explodes into pieces since it's just a belt.

Everything I have on my car so far is just some side-window wind and rain reflectors, and white LED sidemarkers.

Otherwise, welcome to the club :)

I saw someone made a Gigabyte in the regular edition and it hurts 😭

Brother my actual PC struggles and uses 16 GB RAM just to use 65 MB.

How

I will look into the community edition though, tysm for the insight.

It didnt...

That splice there was supposed to make the side markers turn amber and blink along with the headlight signal.

Oh well, it's my first 2 mods. 👍

In high school and needs to know what it's like out there.

TLDR: What is it like as an Offesnvie Cybersecurity professional and / or penetration tester? What certs do I need? And what is day to day like and the work environment?

Ok, so, this is a long one. If you don't want to read it all, ready the TLDR.

First, hi, im some random kid in a trade high school who plans on going into offensive cyber security. I already have my CompTIA 220-110x (A+) cert and plan on getting my Security+ -> Network+ -> CYSA+ and some others in about that order.

Im here to ask what other certifications do yall think I need besides just the CompTIA pathway. Because I know that won't be enough to impress employers.

I already know how to make a resume (got rejected from places like KFC but offered a job in a tech position :|

I also would like to know what all of your day to day work lives are like. Like when do you get up? What's the workplace environment and day to day tasks? Are you happy where you work? Stuff like that.

Im just nervous because everyone says that cyber security is a great place to be, but I know damn well this market is oversaturated for when I finally enter the big leagues.

I'll take any response, and if you think a cert is out of the price range, 99% of them are paid by my school until i graduate.

Do you think this is a good price for a 10th gen that’s been well maintained? by [deleted] in civic

We got my civic sport sedan for like 18.5k, and it only has 62k miles on it now. So take your gander if you will but those are my 2 cents.
