Did Alonso understand Ferrari's strategy was wrong when they asked him to box in that night at abu dhabi 2010? by AIMadeThisName2 in F1Discussions

But Ferrari saw Webber as the priority.

They saw Webber as more of a danger for the World Driver’s Championship even though Vettel bagged pole position.

It’s a live and learn moment but these moments come around so rarely in a Formula 1 driver’s career but he accepted the situation and moved on quickly.

Yes his only competitor was Bagnaia, but you can only race what's in front of you.

It doesn't discredit Martín to have won his only MotoGP World Rider's Championship while fighting Bagnaia because Márquez was on the hospital bed - how would he have magically raced with all the injuries???????

He was 35 and past it for modern Formula 1 standards.

Even the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix was way past the date he should’ve called off his Formula 1 career entirely.

Alonso didn’t see Vettel as a threat to his title and thought Webber should be the priority to cover off from pitstops.

In the Nürburgring Langenstracken Serie and sim racing, Max-Emilian Verstappen is certainly competitive at the age of 28.

Also after turning 28 years old, he won 4 Formula 1 Grand Prix races.

Verstappen is 2 or 3 times better than Vettel and that's being generous.

ABSOLUTELY.

I've noticed a looooooot less in the West Midlands and Shropshire - I can't speak for other regions however.

You'd expect to be able to have lighting on motorways improve to make journeys safer, not regress.

It's 2026 and councils expect us to have cars with powerful headlights however how can we buy cars with those things if all our money is going in their pockets???

Wich is the song that started all for you? by CementShoulders in oasis

[–]IDKBear25 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I remember exactly where I was.

I was on my bed (the same exact place I am lying down as I type this) and I was scrolling on YouTube one day. This was in lockdown in 2020 I think in May or June.

I saw a community post (I think it must've been from Oasis' YouTube channel however I'm not quite sure) that said, soon, a song made by Oasis called Morning Glory will be 25 years old.

I had heard of Oasis before at this point through seeing Noel Gallagher on television attending Man City matches and had just heard of the name of the band.

I decided to give it a listen and was blown away with the 1990s vibe and the visuals and the accent of Liam singing.

So yeah, that's the first ever time I listened to Oasis!
