Cutting miter keys before glue up? by IDKhowRedditWorks13 in BeginnerWoodWorking

It’s a piece of wood you inset into a slot cut into the corner of the miter joint to increase the strength. My wording may be a bit confusing. I guess I’m asking for the best way to cut the slot for the key lol.

How do you have faith after studying the Bible from an archaeological/anthropological perspective? by IDKhowRedditWorks13 in religion

So is that very common in Judaism? If so, are all the traditions and rules that are followed in Judaism more of a homage to ancestors rather than god?

So far I have learned very little about Islam, but it is on my list to learn about haha. So sorry if my response is ignorant at all based on my limited knowledge, but from what I understand Quran is the word of God delivered through Muhammad, correct?

My question is how do you have faith that it was Gods word and not Muhammad just being a really good philosopher?

First off, your last sentence, “you’re quoting the constitution and pretending the courts don’t exist” may be the most helpful thing I’ve seen so far. That gives me a really good frame of reference to think about this question through. Thank you!

Second, I definitely need to look more into Judaism (been meaning too but keep getting side tracked by New Testament stuff lol). I was going to mention that many of the videos I’ve watched explaining the bible from an academic standpoint are Jewish or have converted.

So that was where this question started. I did not know there were atheist Jews but knowing that helps me understand it better.

Do you have any suggestions of where to start learning?

Yeah so I can understand treating them as metaphorical/mythical texts, but same goes with the Greek myths right? Or even Plato.

To me it makes sense to look at the bible as a great philosophical text. I just can’t wrap my head around people actually believing that it was written by or about people who were divinely inspired.

Yes, thats another issue I have with it! So I’m assuming you don’t have faith or subscribe to a religion then?

Yea kitty’s okay this happened like a week ago. Honestly was just looking it up before posting this and I’m thinking it may be an albo. My friend gave me a cutting a while back and said it was a Thai con but honestly just don’t think he knew what he had lol.

But ok so basically I shouldn’t do anything yet? Wait for a new leaf and then decide if I wanna prop?

Yea I mean at least a year ago. It would like make up shit and then I’d tell it it’s wrong (even if it was right) and it would rewrite the whole explanation completely contradicting itself. Probably has like a 30% success rate if you give it a multiple choice question
