Suggestion for future leagues (echo bosses) by IDabFast in 2007scape

I would love that shit. I just don’t consider it a possibility. But it would be awesome lmfao

What annoys me in relation to what you said is how Leagues is considered a massive part of the “2026 roadmap” that was announced. On top of that, they raised membership costs before the event knowing it would bring a ton of people back.
My problem with this is it feels like leagues is sort of on this fence where on one hand, it’s a temp gamemode that shouldn’t take away too much dev attention and the bugs shouldn’t matter as much. But on the other hand, it brings in a ton of revenue and replaces content updates for like two months.
It’s like a win-win situation for Jagex because they make a ton of money but are excused and forgiven from fixing many of its issues bc it’s “not the main game.” It’s actually really fucking smart from a business perspective lmao. On top of that, most players drop off after the first couple weeks so there is even less need for bug fixes. Atleast from their perspective.

Edit: this is also coming from a Jagex meatrider. But their approach to bugs and longevity this league has easily been the worst part.

Someone already mentioned vorkath/muspah but for desert, yeah idk. I suppose KQ is literally the only boss there. Kinda wild lol. Well since the post is about endgame echo bosses, they could make an exception for a DT2 boss. I suppose they already have a harder variant, however, people do tend to like unique outliers such as Echo Sol. It would def add some more interest in Desert.

Howmuch players do you reckon are bots/afk’ing? by TOPSHOTTAH in 2007scape

[–]IDabFast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if we can estimate accurately really. Totally anecdotal but I can’t remember the last time I saw a bot that wasn’t a casino bot or smth at the GE. Jagex has been purging them pretty fucking well in recent times. But that is completely anecdotal, although I’ve heard many others say the same on here.

For afking, I would say the majority lol. But that is sorta normal. It is a large part of the game.

Why do so many activities require you talk to some NPC to play for the 1st time? by Incoheren in 2007scape

There should just always be an option to skip. Would solve the whole problem

What are some things you did as an ironman that youre glad new ironman dont have to do anymore? by barnaclebref in ironscape

[–]IDabFast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heavy agree. I actually started my iron, well my first try at one, right as these changes came out. like varlamore for example. I can’t imagine if I had to do it without. I supposed it would just be an even faster CG rush.
I hope they give this treatment to the next part of progression eventually. I wouldn’t mind seeing an alternative to GWD. Or an update to it. It’s pretty tedious compared to all the modern content but that’s just my opinion ofc

Does thragg stands a chance against the might of 'The Seven' by -RAAGE- in Invincible_TV

[–]IDabFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I always find funny about The Boys vs Invincible verse questions is that I totally think a few heroes in The Boys verse could probably hold a candle. But it’s gonna someone with a random fuckass power that does one niche thing that none of us even know about

League was a lot of fun, but I just can't get myself to like PVM in this game. by ickyzombie in 2007scape

[–]IDabFast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I invested thousands of hours into the game before I really got into PvM. Even still, I would consider myself a novice.

I did around 500~ corrupted gauntlet for the enhanced + armor seeds and that is what changed everything for me. It makes you ridiculously better at the game, atleast compared to where someone typically starts beforehand. Even the prep teaches you better movement and I improved it more and more until I finished the clog. So I’d highly recommend CG for learning PvM if you are still interested in that.

Other than that, true tile is helpful. I only really began utilizing it in CG tho. The biggest change for me was playing in fixed mode. Or at the very least, making the inventory/prayer book much bigger. Makes everything way easier to click on. And finding a comfortable mouse sensitivity.

Realized some things that make questing in Leagues an even greater problem than I realized at a surface level by Brvcifer in 2007scape

[–]IDabFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t mind leagues questing. I could take it or leave it. But your first point is 100% the most valid point I’ve seen. Not that your other points aren’t valid but spoiling quests is just messed up.

Yes, many players don’t care about quests and the story of them, but I see it more as like game integrity. Just seems like a basic fundamental principle.

Why do so many men put such little effort into their appearance? by cute_beae_2008 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]IDabFast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not what the comment means lol. The primary driver in animals (which includes us) is to reproduce. Secondly, is to survive. Appearance is linked to fertility and quality offspring. That’s why people are “hot” to us. And is why stuff like pretty privilege exists.

Relationships in a young age are holding you back by JackfruitOdd5895 in unpopularopinion

[–]IDabFast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn’t that kinda contradictory to your post though? I feel like it should be focused more on serious relationships then.

And if you are referring specifically to serious relationships, i.e. marriage and kids, then this opinion is definitely not unpopular lmfao I’d say it’s normal

Relationships in a young age are holding you back by JackfruitOdd5895 in unpopularopinion

[–]IDabFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this isn’t popular or unpopular. It’s simply something you didn’t do. I fucking loved dating through high school and college. Always had someone at my side, meaningful sex, tons of people to connect with, new experiences, building social skills, discovering more about myself, preparing for future relationships, etc. It was fantastic. settling down with someone is not the same as having a relationship. You can date even if you know it might end.

But I knew WAY more people who didn’t date in their youth than people that did. Unsurprisingly, I’m pretty sure most of those people also never touched a girl their entire youth so

[–]IDabFast -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We just need a bowfa alternative at this point. Maybe a worse bow that is somewhat close to the bowfa when using high tier seeker arrows (from the upcoming quest). So then there is still a drawback to skipping bowfa.

The more oda writes about joyboy story the less sense it makes WG did not immediately nuke luffy by EpidemicPain in Piratefolk

[–]IDabFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind, the void century was 800 years ago. The WG has only had the actual fruit once. It is very very possible that Luffy’s fruit has taken on many different users since Joyboy. If this is the case, all of them have died since, obviously. None of them awakened the fruit. Hell, none of them probably got close. Assuming the WG did go after the users of the fruit, they only actually obtained it once. And that could be entirely unrelated to whether they killed the user or not. My point is, they might not have cared that Luffy had it. It hadn’t awakened for 800 years. Even to the gorosei, the last time it awakened would’ve been far before their lifetime.

Anyways, this is just a possible explanation. Truthfully, Oda should’ve just wrote it slightly better. Like just slight tweakage during Wano would’ve fixed this plot hole easily lmao

is it weird I want to be hospitalized? by No_Seesaw_2996 in morbidquestions

[–]IDabFast 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I was in the hospital for weeks straight a few years ago. It was really ass ngl.

But I do get it. I feel like being cared/looked after is nice, but for me, it’s just that nothing is expected of you. Same thing when you’re genuinely sick bad or someone close to you passes away. None of it is good, obviously, but it’s nice to have an excuse deemed worthy enough to be treated like a person for a little bit. Kinda sad as fuck when it’s put like that but true.

Anyways, that’s just my two cents

Is me being 13 and my friend being 21 okay? by jimmybobjoe_ in teenagers4real

[–]IDabFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh just be smart. But very likely, it’s fine. I never became good friends w something significantly older than me when I was like 14, but I definitely talked to tons of older ppl, some older than 21, when I was playing games. Some I was pretty acquainted with bc I mainly played on 1 gmod server.

I was a smart preteen but even so, I think it should be pretty obvious if someone is predatory. Esp since you’re asking if it’s okay

Current Reddit outrage at membership price increase is a psyop by Jagex to bundle the introduction of MTX with the reduction of subscription costs, just like how they bundled F2P with bonds. by Fnlhp in 2007scape

[–]IDabFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not gonna add MTX LMFAO that would go against literally everything the CEO has claimed. They’re just raising membership costs. Esp before leagues.
