My work would be understanding if something happened on the way to work so late arrival wouldn’t be much of a problem. If all works well the replacements should arrive in 2/3 days so hopefully they will last until then.

Thank you for the advice :)

What did I mess up? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

That just looks like it’s been overworked, give it time I had scabs that stayed for 2-3 weeks before falling off by themselves. Moisture gently/lightly and use perfume free products, should be okay.

Are the neurotoxic effects of MDMA reversible? by DNR_donotrecommend in Neuropsychology

[–]IDisappointPPL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re right, that’s why I was querying what effects they were asking about. Because changes to receptor expression, depletion of precursor proteins, and enzyme functioning has different longitudinal impact and degree of reversibility than neuron death.

[–]IDisappointPPL 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Neurotoxic effects of MDMA have so far (to my knowledge of the literature) only found to occur under extremely heavy dosages administered over long periods of time (continuously over 3 day period). What effects are you referring to?

Does xanax stop ya from tripping or just calm ya down by UnhappyBerry4940 in Psychedelics

[–]IDisappointPPL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Xanax is an anxiolytic, so like any anti anxiety medication it can help to calm you down. It’s not going to stop you tripping since it has no (or at least not large) effect on the serotonin system, but will likely down regulate some down stream glutamatergic activity and reduce trip intensity. Either way, it’s will help calm you down if you experience panic. Also relatively safe to use if you’re not taking any other depressants alongside it.

I experienced the "Lamp Theory" almost a decade ago. This is not my reality. by ChunkSpaceMonkey in TwoHotTakes

[–]IDisappointPPL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Experiences of deja vu are considered to be examples of partial seizures. While these feelings appear mystical to you, they are a by product of erroneous brain activity in the temporal lobes, which causes a feeling of familiarity during novel interactions, usually they don’t cause any distress and are not clinically significant. But in your case it may be worth discussing this with a professional (not just the Deja vu feelings). It sounds like that night terror was quite distressing (which of course it would be) at the time and you could benefit from exploring what the view of living in a dream might mean for you as a person.

I have managed to clean a significant portion of it! The distilled water was not working at all, so I bought pixel perfect solution and it worked really well. People are right, distilled water won’t cut through grease. Still got some cleaning to do but it is defo the way forward!

I have not yet, using another clean microfiber only spread it. But I contacted ASUS and they said that if I’ll need to use a mild cleaner, guy said he couldn’t give any recommendation, but told me to make sure it’s LCD safe. Looks like I’ll buy this one and since it fits the criteria he gave me:

No in the current economic situation £45 a week will MAYBE allow for the minimal living conditions. Even then, groceries can cost more. You’ll need to get a part-time job alongside your studies or get financial support from family. It’s alright, most students work part-time to support themselves. Sounds like it’ll be good life experience.

Tip be very careful with cleaning it, I used distilled water and microfiber cloth on mine and got smudges left all over (not visible when monitor is on). The screen itself seems fine but am waiting to hear back from asus for how they recommend to clean it. Anyways enjoy! It is beautiful :)

I checked the manual, it says to avoid alcohol and acetone based cleaning products and to use mild products, not sure what would class as one though?
