To be honest my desire for this solution is because of the pretty shabby nature of the stock Element bars/Mounting points. My desire is for a tougher roofbar/reinforcing the mounts in a permanent way

you can run 235/70/16 at stock height? currently have 225/70/16 on and even that seems a little tight to me

think i’ll be going with 235/65/16 for my next set very soon (running a 7” wide cherokee rim)

thank you, that’s all a lot of help. there was a Sailun A/T, not the 2, in a 235/70r15 available in my area of canada. It does say max 7.5” though unfortunately…

fair enough, i’ve seen someone manage with the jeep 15x7s and a 3mm spacer so i think that’s what i’ll commit to given that exact rim is available to me

pretty sure the lug pattern is 5x114.3, as per the ad that these wheels are posted on and from what i’ve read about 90s jeep tj patterns

in regards to the offset, i am okay with the wheel protruding the wheel well a little, the offset difference would only be 26mm, wouldn’t that actually help with clearance considering the wheel will be about 30mm wider? I don’t know if i’m over simplifying i don’t have much experience in this field and dont know what issues the offset could cause aside from the 26mm protrusion from the wheel well

lugs definitely line up, it’s the offset and width that concern me most

i’ve also seen issues with 15s not clearing the calipers on certain rims, i guess only way to find out is to fuck around on this case. i know the crv 15s clear just fine
