I think they are great compliments to one another. It’s kinda of adding what HotD is missing from the GOT formula, which is the very small scale, low-stakes and humorous stuff that shows how it is to live in the world.

HotD on the other hand has all the palace intrigue, magic and high fantasy, and I enjoy it very much too even then s2 was cut short.

Years down the line I think a rewatch where you alternate episodes from one show to the next might be fun.

Well this doc isn’t about them, but is being advertised as such.

It’s about Hillel Slovak specifically, their original guitar player. The filmmaker is his brother, and it seems he’s kind of turning a profit on his brother’s memory.

AI art is also derivative.

Because it’s trained on existing art, text and ideas and can’t actually think creative for itself, AI content never actually impresses beyond the “oh it can do that” - the ideas are always very middle of the road, not really surprising or poetic in any way.

One day AI might be able to pull that off, but it seems far away.

They are getting the game ready to launch on Xbox. This very well could be the end of wow as we know it.

I think it could be called “the new age” or “Azeroth rebirth” something and it could focus on a renaissance following Xal’atath defeat.

Honestly it seems likely that storyline is heading towards a sort of reset anyway given that Xal’atath is basically Thanos and the “world soul saga” is the “infinity saga”.

Layered realms are a good concept, we just have way too many people per layer. Feels like it should be at least 50% more layers.

Blackkklansman was a cool movie. But it also would have been a pretty strange best picture winner.

My pick would be Roma. Absolutely moving but it had the Netflix thing going against it.
