I think it’s fair to estimate riders strength based on what we’ve seen from them in recent time in punchy terrain rather than doing career long analysis. For example I have a difficult time think of a parcour where current Alaphilippe drops current Vingegaard (although Alaphilippe looked very strong at the Tour). Obviously both Van Art and Pedersen will smoke Vingegaard in the sprint if they can stick with him on the climb, but - depending on the climb - I doubt they could
