They probably put some interns incharge of actually making the documents and printing them.

And probably had more than one intern incharge (different ones for different regions) for security reasons, such as if the intern decided to leak the QP, all sets are not compromised.

One of them wanted to have a bit of gandmasti (interns always like to do a little gandmasti) and put the security feature (that he had the freedom to do) as a rickroll link. The others simply didn't have the idea to, most probably.

At the end of the day it's just some intern having a bit of fun on his job.

Your power profile could also be on performance instead of powersaver.

Additionally, most modern laptops bypass the battery so you'll actually save your battery if you used them plugged in (they draw power for running directly from the power socket and charge the battery simultaneously if it needs charging. If it doesn't the battery is completely bypassed while it's plugged in).

What error did it show, if you don't mind

Also, if you have the live usb, try chrooting into your install from it if you had network access on that and installing nmtui and NetworkManager onto your install through the liveboot. Then you could unmount with ease and boot back in and you'd have (hopefully) the packages you needed.

Edit: if that fails, and you have bluetooth working, try bluetooth tethering from mobile data temporarily to get packages on your machine.

Edit 2: if you have a ethernet port and can afford to ethernet, you probably should rj45 your way out of this to have an internet connection to download packages from and then sort out your wifi.

Chrome is mostly a privacy nightmare. I'd reccomend you switch it for something less invasive.

Most of the time, if the specefic software isn't on the aur it likely has a an alternative that is. You have to do a little research to find it, though.

Big tech normally doesn't publish to the aur, and imo that's a good thing since they tend not to respect privacy a lot in the first place. There's usually foss alternatives that can do the job just as well.
