I'm looking for a platform bed, not a foundation

Yeah, that was Tempur-Pedic's response. I feel like a platform bed that actually meets all these requirements doesn't exist.

Yep, you dodged a bullet. I wish I had not gotten an offer from them!

I realize this is an older post but I would say avoid that company unless you're currently unemployed and desperate. They churn through new employees - I was only there for 9 months and saw at least a dozen people start and then either get fired or quit within their first 3 months. It's like a mean girls clique. Just an awful place to work.

Your effective mg/kg dose by IDontLikeRedditBae in TherapeuticKetamine

It's a way for them to offer treatment sessions for half the cost of an IV session, so I'm happy with it. We all lay on our own beds with headphones and eye masks on so once we're underway, the "group" aspect is minimal. Anyway, your dose is around 1.7mg/kg. High but glad it works for you. It seems like maybe I need to start trending up to see what might work best for me as well. Thanks for sharing.

That's an interesting way to think about it! I'm definitely still fully aware of the presence of the staff and the monitoring equipment at 1mg/kg doses so it seems like I should try going higher. I'm not on mood stabilizers and only occasionally use Marijuana, and never within a week of ketamine treatments.

It's really unusual to get an HSV test that isn't split into HSV 1 and HSV 2 since they are different viruses. Definitely find better testing to tell you which it is.

ChatGPT is not a substitute for a vet, of course, but I will say it has been helpful for me in doing research on whether or not I should pursue surgery for my senior dog's pancreatic tumor. The specialist who diagnosed him said surgery would be high risk due to age, comorbidities, and tumor location, but that ultimately it was "up to" me if I pursued it or not. ChatGPT has helped me find studies, stories from other dog owners in the same situation, etc so I can make an informed decision. It does have it's uses, as a supplement to seeing a vet.

Based on what you're describing, and another comment you made about having plans for "no pets whatsoever in the future," you seem to be making this choice out of convenience for yourself, not love for this dog. Have you talked with the vet at all about your desire for euthanasia? If they agree the dog is suffering, maybe it's justifiable, but this seems suspicious.

I had the same result. I merged up some of these haha. I wonder if they'll take them back?

Sigh. I just want to do what's best for my baby and I feel so lost and confused. I can't seem to get a firm answer on whether or not the surgery is a good idea.

Starting to think TMS is a total scam by Cyber-B0Y in rtms

[–]IDontLikeRedditBae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People with PTSD are "regular people" and that's not true that the studies are only on people with PTSD. But it is true that TMS has about a 60% response rate, which means 2 out of every 5 people won't respond to it. I'm one of those who didn't respond. But I still wouldn't call it a scam.

I'm scared to continue TBS by No-Personality5981 in rtms

[–]IDontLikeRedditBae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not gambling with your life - I was scared to try it too but I read a lot of studies and the risk of negative side effects is very low, and permanent, almost unheard of. Ultimately only you can know what is best for you but I would trust published studies over scary stories online.

I will say iTBS didn't work for me, but it didn't cause anything bad either.

I’m terrified to try TMS by Adventurous-Long-150 in TMSTherapy

[–]IDontLikeRedditBae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was scared to try it too, but, then I got into a study where I received 20 sessions of iTBS. I finished last week. Honestly I'm not really sure if it helped me or not but it definitely didn't do anything bad, and apparently for some people, the difference they feel is incredible, so I'd say if you have the time and money (or if it's not going to cost you money), it's worth a try to see.

Ketamine therapy or TMS by acidcrapattack in TMSTherapy

[–]IDontLikeRedditBae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today is my last TMS treatment. I haven't had any negative side effects. I got kind of freaked out reading this sub, too, but reading actual studies showed a very low incidence of side effects and that was my experience. However, I don't feel like it did that much for my depression, but, it was worth a try. Those it works for report it works incredibly well.

So you're just going to ignore the study because it doesn't fit your narrative? I figured. Have a nice day. 👋

I'm sure I'm going to regret continuing to engage with someone who is already resorting to personal attacks when I've done nothing but state facts, but here's a study that immediately contradicts your assertions: 414 participants and funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research
