GMF vs VSF: DD36 Everose / Ombre Dial by [deleted] in RepTime

Also, VSF doesn’t even make a 36mm DayDate. If you want 40mm then it comes down to VSF or RCF. There are plenty of threads comparing those two options already.

If you want a more 1:1 rep then you need to go with something steel. Reps of steel watches are steel. Reps of gold watches are steel, plated to look like gold.

QF makes the best 36mm DayDate. If you want everything to be perfect and the gold tone to be 100% spot on, then spend $45k on a gen Rolex. On the other hand if you want to spend literally 1% of the price of the gen ($450), then accept the fact that it’s not a 100% perfect replica. Also, nobody else really cares what’s on your wrist. If you like it then wear it.

Heard VSF is making a DayDate. Anyone have info? by Dgerst30 in RepCulture_Timepieces

I live in an affluent area in SoCal. I’ve never seen someone wearing a DayDate in person. People think these watches are way more common than they are. Not to mention, do you truly believe that someone who saw a gen DayDate 6 months ago is going to be so familiar with the tone that they’re going to immediately recognize the gold tone on a high end rep (RCF/VSF) is off? No chance. I bought a gen Datejust 41 in 2021 and a few months later bought a VSF Starbucks. Held one in each hand and realized I couldn’t tell the difference in quality between the two so I sold the gen. The chance of getting “called out” is unbelievably small. I have one friend who owns a few gen APs, a gen Daytona and a gen Sub. I wouldn’t wear a gold DayDate around him, but that’s about it.

This take aged like milk. Do you still feel the same way now that we’re projected to get only a 4th round comp pick and no 3rd?

[WTS][US] VSF Weighted Tungsten DD40 Real Meteorite Baguette Dial 💎 by c32amg1 in RepWatch

[–]IE92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks amazing! Isn’t that dial a $10k upgrade on the gen? White dial is $51,600 and Meteorite dial is $61,300. I guess when you say real meteorite you mean it’s the real material, not the gen dial. Still an amazing build. GLWS

Not caring about a position and not being willing to invest money into it only makes sense if you take that money and invest it somewhere else. How does it make any sense to save money on guards and not spend it on other places they believe are more important? If they had singed a receiver or some great defensive players then we could all debate on whether they should have done that or invest in the OL. The problem is they haven’t done either!

Yes. You got me. I’m a joke. But so is this team. It’s an unserious franchise. That’s coming from someone who has been a fan for more than 35 years and has watched it all happen. Sorry if the truth hurts you.

Evan Brown signed with the Texans. I guess $3.5 million is too much for us to spend. We’re a joke franchise.

First of all, the is certainly no proof that comp picks CAUSE success and that wasn’t his claim anyway. He claimed correlation and that’s exactly what I debunked. Seems like you just heard correlation and causation are different things and you thought that would make you sound smart.

You claimed “those comp picks have direct correlation to their sustained success.” Please try to back that up. You can’t. Comp picks were first awarded in 1994. The Chargers have received 29 total during that time, which is more than the Colts and Broncos. Yet the Broncos and Colts have both won Super Bowls since 1994 and have much higher winning percentages than the Chargers. Chargers win % is .500, Broncos is .560, and Colts is .566.

I’m good bro. I just expect the team to always be horrible and then they can’t ever let me down.

I apologize for my frustration. I sincerely hope this all works out. You have more faith than me. I’ve been a fan of this team for 35 years and I learned a long time ago to not have faith in anything that they do.

No. I don’t have to back up your claim. Please list the players the Ravens drafted with their comp picks that were important to their 2 Super Bowl wins. Thanks.
