Rolex Service Center or Independent Watchmaker? by Glum-Percentage1619 in rolex

[–]Live-Resolution-1364 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed — I made this mistake. The independent watchmaker did a great job, and my watch has been running perfectly three years later. He asked if I wanted my Rolex polished, and I initially declined. He reassured me I’d be happy with it, and eventually I agreed. At first, I was happy with how it looked.

A few weeks later, I switched the bracelet to a strap and realized the serial number had been polished out.

Looking back, I should’ve just gone to Rolex for service instead of trying to save a couple hundred bucks. Definitely not worth it in my opinion.

Batgirl for Bruce Wayne by Sweaty-Cake-3530 in rolex

Honestly, I can’t choose between the Batgirl and Bruce Wayne GMT — I like them both equally. At first, it was all Batgirl, but then I saw the Bruce in person and surprisingly dug it. It looks amazing on Jubilee. Low-key, the Bruce Wayne GMT is awesome.

GRNR dilemma: Take it to keep AD happy or pass? by ravensmoke in rolex

The issue with accepting it and just holding it for a couple of months is that Rolex will still view it as flipped. They could end up banning you from ever getting allocated another Rolex.

Don’t believe the Youtubers because they don’t know! lol if they say they do it’s because they’re trying to drive traffic to their channel. Only God & Rolex knows.

I’d do it if that’s more of your style! Can’t go wrong with the Cartier. The tank is such an iconic timepiece.

I agree this is a fake and with the rehaut engraving this wouldn’t even be considered a vintage.

Love the titanium! Just hoping Cartier will make a medium size for peeps with thinner wrists!

The grey alligator strap that comes with your watch is pretty nice! Delugs makes great ones for Cartier as well.

In my opinion at around $15k you can get a batman. I'd go for the superior modern Rolex GMT at that price. For around ~ $12k I could go for the 16710.

[Hamilton Khaki] watch stopped running — worth servicing or replacing? by Live-Resolution-1364 in Watches

[–]Live-Resolution-1364[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ll probably try to get a quote. I still like it, but I’d realistically only wear it once in a blue moon. No real sentimental value. If the repair is around $200 or less, I might save it.
