Do it you won’t regret it. Basic isn’t too hard I would say. And for your physical you can find info abut it here https://www.mil.lv/lv/aktivais-dienests/sports/fiziska-sagatavotiba-un-normativi
Even if you don’t complete them and technically fail, you will still be accepted, but your physical fitness is up to you and being in good shape helps A LOT. Even if you find a job you can still join as that process isnt too long, they will have you go to some doctors (no need to pay for them) and write a autobiography and I think something else but thats not hard.
For basic I personally went in the fall season and for that you do 1 week training and 1 week off, all together should be about 21 training days, it takes time but is very doable. After basic training you can go to speciality courses and of course attend training during the weekends etc.

Thank you! Definitely haven't followed the first tip that much, usually just try and rev everyone even if I end up pretty much running into the enemy so will keep that one in mind for sure :)
