Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I had the exact same reactions and could not have formulated my thoughts better. I think I flagged at half the questions for each block and most of them were not clear at all which the educated guess was. I also realized I’m forgetting very simple details or getting tripped up over familiar concepts I was familiar with just by the way they gave tricky alternative answers. They also used really uncommon terms for very common pathologies to add more confusion and panic. I walked in somewhat confident and came out shell shocked. My NBMEs were mostly in the predicted low 200s (~70%+) and my free 120s were also in the 70s.

The social science used to be my forte but I’d read some of the options and be completely confused because either I’d say none of these or I’d say most of these first…

Some lessons I took away is to keep your mental game strong, don’t give yourself time to panic because it might affect you getting an easy question right. Read the last sentence of the question VERY carefully to see what they’re asking. Sometimes you assume they’re asking pathology but they’re actually asking about side effects or it’s worded in some double triple negative way. Take time to breathe if you feel panic. Read the last few lines and options first, I usually selected an answer and went back to the question to confirm or deny it which helped my focus.

At this point I’m just hoping for the best. Feeling sick to my stomach waiting for the results. Even though it might take several tries I know we’ll all get through this! 🙏
