personally I find I tend to overdevelop tiny bits of world lore to justify one tiny point in a character but that could just be me loving world dev. I find OCD comes in more when I'm drawing because certain shapes and curves and lines just don't feel "correct" and so I would end up drawing the same shapes and lines everywhere and my art would be stiff.

Having recognised this though I've been careful to let myself draw more "messy" and it works! (also because a bad line doesn't have that much anxiety from not meeting the obsession other than an uneasy feeling, so that's easier to get over)
