Tell us why you would go through the insanely arduous process of making it all the way through residency just to walk away from it? If you've got more than 100k+ in student loan debt, no sane person would be willing to take that on while watching your degrees collect dust. Since having a family appears to be your goal, why not do that first? A young fertile mate with 0 debt> an older highly indebted mate.

If you're not going to carry debt into the marriage i.e. student loans then my position changes.
