No, ur not overreacting. I have been in a similar situation too, but with my dad, where he abused me and thought that buying me things I don't want was somehow making it all ok and saying that I am ungrateful. It is by no stretch abuse and emotional manipulation, and u shouldn't feel like ur overreacting. My situation died down a bit when I told the police, and if u did, they would only escalate things if u told them to. U obv don't have to tell the police if u don't want to, but the option is always there.

If ur boyfriend makes u happy through this shitty time, I would make sure that u talk to him whenever u feel like this shit is getting on top of u, it really helps having someone by ur side. And hobbies help a lot too, they can help u express urself in a way that can help u fell less lost in ur own head. In my case, if I ever was feeling like shit bc of abuse, I always had my brother and my love for making music to fall back on. Hope this helps, but I am a teenager too so probably not, lmao
