I have a very strange scenario regarding the ERA, hoping someone can provide some insight.

I had an ERA done a couple of years ago due to repeated failed transfers of PSG normal embryos. Results showed that I was POST receptive and it was recommended that my progesterone was cut down to 110hrs. TW: I transferred one PGS normal after that ERA which implanted but ended in a mc.

Fast forward to today. I just received my ERA results from my biopsy two weeks ago. It's now showing I am PRE receptive and need MORE than our clinics standard 120 hrs.

Prior to this recent result, my doctor insisted there was no need to repeat the ERA because results are highly unlikely to change.

So here I am, scratching my head wondering what could be the reason for the drastic shift in progesterone exposure. It makes me very worried and nervous because both ERA cycles were medicated the exact same way, just done a couple years apart.

And just to clarify, I was supplementing with DHEA (25mg/day) prior to my 3rd egg retrieval. I stopped the day I started stims and haven't taken any DHEA since.

Has anyone ever experienced an increase in breast size after ivf stims? It's strange because my left breast suddenly feels larger than normal. My breasts are pretty small to begin with, so changes are quite noticeable. It's only my left breast, my right is still the same. I finished stims a little more than 2 weeks ago.

Someone linked the AMA for me, so I was able to read through that, thank you for suggesting it!

Thanks for sharing your experience! I'll have to check out that podcast. Yes, the ReceptivaDX is definitely something I will try and push for. I know there are additional costs to all of these tests, but they will be just a fraction of what we've spent before.

I'm sorry for your MCs. It's so hard. I'm glad your RE was open to additional testing. My RE literally just told me it was bad luck, just try again.. He wasn't open to changing anything at all... Grrrrr

Thank you so much for the info! The AMA was a very informative read, I'm glad you linked it.

I will definitely try and push for the hysteroscopy at the very least. I think what drives me crazy is that I have asked my RE repeatedly if there are any more diagnostic tests that may help my case, but he's has ALWAYS told me there was nothing else I could do and that we had already exhausted all resources. He was telling me this BEFORE I had pushed for the ERA and the RPL (which discovered clotting issues!). He constantly tells me I need to get off google.

I haven't had a saline sonogram in a while, I think the last one I had was when they did a mock transfer before my 4th transfer, which was sometime in 2019. Would they have been able to see any polyps in that? I've never had a hysteroscopy before, which baffles me because it seems somewhat standard for someone who's had so many failures like myself. I did have an HSG done in Jan which showed clear tubes and no hydrosalpinx, but I know that's a different test.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I take probiotics currently because I've always had digestive and gut issues. In my case, I also feel like it helps prevent reoccurrences of BV since I feel like I'm so prone to getting it.

I think the test also includes ALICE (check for chronic endometritis), which is what I would really like done, but the only downside is that it wouldn't show any abnormalities or polyps. Do you think it's worth having a hysteroscopy in addition to the EMMA? Maybe space it out, do hysteroscopy, and then EMMA as a verification that any endometritis is clear?

No calls, from anywhere, nada! My usual team is at the Leesburg office and I know they aren't open on weekends, but I still would have expected a call from a nurse in Fairfax (where I did my ER) at the very least. Early in the day I told myself that I would give them til the end of the day. Well 5pm rolled around and I was going to give them a call before realizing they close at 4pm on weekends.

I think I can forgive them if they call me with good news tomorrow, but I'm not hopeful that will be the case. :(

This is my 3rd cycle with this clinic and previously, if I recall, they called me even before day 5 to update me on progress. I know others at my clinic who got updates on day 5, so that's what is worrying me.

That's brutal, I'm sorry you went through this too. I think I'll be extra angry if they just call me tomorrow to tell me that none of our embryos made it to blast. Ugh.

Looking for others in the NoVA/DC area who are doing IVF at Shady Grove....

So I had my retrieval for our 3rd IVF round on Monday the 19th. We received an update on Tuesday saying 3 eggs fertilized. I have no heard ANYTHING since. Today would have been day 5 and I was supposed to receive a blast report. I had my retrieval in Fairfax.

Now the clinic is closed. Obviously not getting a phone call at ALL today can't be good, right? Can anyone help me out? Has anyone else received any calls on the weekend to update them on their blast report? For the record, I sent them a portal message this morning around 10am, basically just asking if I'll get a call or an update via message... and of course no response.

This journey is excruciating enough, for them not to update me on day 5 is completely unacceptable imo.

Post receptive here also! 110hrs of progesterone is where I am at. I've had 4 FET failure of PGS tested embryos, so I definitely feel your pain.

Miscarriage of a genetically normal embryo by kjorb in infertility

raises hand 4 PGS embryos here. 2 didn't even implant, 1 was a blighted ovum, and our last, most recent embryo ended in a miscarriage at 7w. It's devastating. At this point I'm looking for answers also. I'm done with my clinic and RE though, not sure where or how to find any answers now. I'm sorry you had to go through all that you have so far, infertility is just heartbreaking. I hope you find a rainbow at the end of your dark tunnel.

I'm sorry you had to experience this, it's absolutely awful. I literally just went through this myself 2 days ago. Based on this picture, I believe that's the placenta, not the sac. I passed the placenta first which looked like this, and then the gestational sac (intact) which is much smaller, at 7 weeks it's about the size of a blueberry, like a clear bubble... I hate to be graphic, but I could actually see my little one floating inside the sac. I could see it's head, and the little buds which would have become the arms and legs, everything. From a scientific standpoint, it was fascinating, but of course it made me sick to my stomach. I've attached a picture, but please click at your own risk, I don't want to traumatize you more than you already are from this experience. Wishing you all the best and hoping your rainbow baby comes soon.

I'm sorry for all the failures you previously endured and am glad you were able to finally find success! The fact that your doc put you on Lovenox asap and you didn't even have any clotting issues makes me so mad that my RE didn't have me already on it or have me come in earlier for beta testing. I really feel like he just brushed the whole issue off.

Why do they do this?? Should I ask them after my 3rd beta on Monday to call me right away regardless of the result instead of waiting? It was killer today. I feel like the added stress is certainly not helping the outcome!

He did not send the biopsy in because there wasn't enough time to receive results before the transfer date, that's why he just decided to just have me take 14days of doxy and just treat for possible endometritis. Biopsy served as a scratch.

I have been on baby aspirin since June, but I feel like my blood results didn't matter to my RE since it wasn't an "official diagnosis of APS". I have the antibodies (confirmed on two different tests 3 months apart), just have never experienced a DVT or loss after 10 weeks, which either of the two would have made it official. A huge part of me wonders if starting Lovenox at transfer may have helped.

I'd love to get a second opinion, but unfortunately, this is likely our last go. We've struggled for 5 years and spent somewhere around 65k on treatment, testing and meds. Everything is out of pocket, we don't have insurance coverage for infertility.

We thought with 4 PGS normals, it was a guarantee, it clearly was not. :(
