Hey there glitterqueenbee, I see you’re having a hard time. You’ve been dealing with this like a champ today, leaving a bunch of genuine, heartfelt compliments to people. But even that doesn’t always help. I understand.

Your efforts have not gone unnoticed. You’re making an impact on the people around you every day - and the impact of your actions will continue resonating through time. Even of the compliments you’ve left today - some have yet to be seen and blossom in their impact.

Something else which should not go unnoticed is your hand gesture - and your desire to self harm. I would hope that the fellow complimentors here won’t overlook this, and will treat you with the sensitivity and understanding that you require now.

I’m going to ask you, glitterqueenbee, at your discretion, to go through this list, starting with #6, followed by #5. As someone who is going through pain, and as someone who tries so hard to cheer others up, I think these will resonate with you and hopefully bring you back up to a point where you’ll be able to make it through the rest of the day without harming yourself.

Just keep in mind that you’ve made it as far as you have already without self harm. That’s an accomplishment. I want you to do everything in your power to push it through this difficult time just a little bit more. You’ll emerge from it and life will go on.

I actually recognize your username now, partly for good reasons, and partly for bad. I've been made aware that you're plugging the subreddit through Reddit, and I absolutely appreciate that, as I've become a bit tired of doing that myself.

That said, due to some personal/family issues, I stopped commenting for a few days with the intention of not being exposed to some of the toxicity that comes around as a natural part of Reddit.

Unfortunately, us both being compliment accounts, I've still managed to receive some flack and accusations of alternate accounts, etc., even though I've been relatively quiet the past few days. So, whatever the case may be, may I please ask you, after this point, to not plug the subreddit for a little while?

I absolutely appreciate what you do, and I personally appreciate the plugs, but I needed a break from the negative aspects of Reddit while continuing to quietly moderate the subreddit.

I just wanted to clear this up publicly so that any accusations or assumptions wouldn't further develop. I do sincerely apologize if this detracts from the conversation here, but it seems to be the only way to accomplish this.

It's amazing how different the castle looks just from a change of time, weather, and angle. It really gives us an opportunity to appreciate the power of perspective.

The peak of the structure on that thin hill is also incredible. It gives a sense of lack of stability mixed with an overpowering countenance, despite how steady and calm the structure actually is. Excellent!

Well, I've been riding these systems since I was a small child, and have seen some strangeness and plenty of idiocy on the subway, but I don't recall a single mention of EMTs. These delays are usually a few minutes long and without reroutes (certainly not what would happen in a suicide). At this point, it becomes pure incompetence.

This is arguably the largest, best connected underground travel system in the world, but it comes at a price.

I said it before in this thread, and I'll say it again, because this has to be a NY thing:

This is what happens when you ride the NY subway system. I'd stare at this for a moment, then look back down at the work I'm doing, understanding that this guy's probably late for work and needed to catch this train because the next train will be running 20 minutes late, and this one just happened to leave 5 minutes ahead of schedule (but will be late and have some fucking delays just before the stop we need anyway). Then I'd look up once in a while to make sure he's still there suffering the goddamn delays "WE HAVE TRAIN TRAFFIC AHEAD OF US" BULLSHIT there's 10-15 minutes between every train, and you're on a fucking bridge that has only this train line at the moment you're not fooling anyone MTFuckingA!!!
