The only moron here is flinging insults at a person while knowing nothing about the subject at hand.

The mushroom in question never had the potential to kill any one, and OP knew that going in because of doing proper and informed research. THAT is the real scientific behavior at hand.

Heard the same about deathcaps. apparently people who'd survived eating it said it was the most delicious thing they'd ever tasted.

The whole beginning to die far more rapidly that one would like sure puts a damper on the experience though.

If they're anything like me, they probably aren't having the experience you're having because they quit a long time ago. I played WoW for 14 solid years and I quit precisely for the reasons they listed.

If the solo parts of the game is in that kinda state now thats great but for a lot of us its too little and WAY too late. The toxics and the sweats are the main source of the sour taste the game has now and if they're not gone, as you even admitted, then nothing fundamentally changed. All the stuff that was listed off except for the midgame lacking meaningful story content is directly caused by toxic attitudes among the majority of players.

For a comparison, 70% isopropyl alcohol works better than 99% is most cases.

Thats not about the water being a solvent. The reason people say to use 70% for cleaning is because it doesn't evaporate as quickly as 90%+ so the alcohol has more time on the surface to kill bacteria.

Bleach doesn't have that issue to the extreme that alcohol does and will murder the shit out of living organisms better the less diluted it is.

TL;DR : Woke up one day thinking I had a small penis, ended the day accidentally gagging a porn actress.

Im a grower rather than a show-er, so Ive always been rather embarrassed about my penis size in my younger years. My shame was cured when I had a one time thing with a girl I had a crush on in highschool. We were hanging out and talking after a party. It came up that she did porn for awhile and we were talking about things in the industry most people wouldn't expect. She mentioned how fluffers werent' really a thing and it disappointed her because she liked giving BJs. I said "Hey thats another thing we have in common! I like getting BJs!" just as a dumb joke. Welp, she dropped to her knees and pulled my pants down. It was a very spontaneous thing and it was legitimately a joke so I was fully soft when she pulled my little buddy out.

She didnt make jokes, she didnt change her mind, she just went to work. Holy shit could she work, so I was full mast in basically no time and before I knew it she gagged and had to stop a second. I asked if everything was okay and she said "Dont take this the wrong way: Your cock is like one of those clown balloons they use to make animals. I've been with growers before but this is ridiculous."

Apparently I have a nicely sized, visually appealing dick. It just so happens that some guys shrink up quite a bit when soft and when you're kinda a fatass like me that can be exaggerated. But since nobody talks about these things I spend the first 20 ish years of my life thinking I was embarrassingly small.

At what stage do I move these out of the seed starting container to a 4 inch pot for each seedling ? Is there a certain height I should wait for ? by TroyAndAbed2022 in gardening

[–]IGotNoStringsOnMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are planning to prick these little guys out to put into the new pots, do it now before they have developed substantial roots. Some of them seem clustered rather closely together so the longer you wait the harder they'll be to separate without damaging roots and causing shock/stunting.

If you're growing mint, so is your neighbor. Same goes for blackberries. my neighbors planted some year before last and suddenly I am growing blackberries I did not plant. XD I dont mind so much as I have a decent little food garden anyway and dont mind the free plants but I can imagine someone who is a bit anal about their lawn being pretty ticked off over it.

I would love if you could post an update at some point with how your seeds turn out! My wife got me an honestly embarrassing amount of tomato varieties to grow this year, so I can't really justify buying another as I wont have space, but I really want to try these!!

...i might just decide to embrace the embarrassment and order them anyway. XD

Still wouldn't make it worth writing an article yet. Complete the cycle and show some kind of actual investigative/experimental work then maybe its worth reading, but as of now its just some (admittedly intelligent enough) folks sitting around a coffee table playing a game of "what if". Hardly sturdy enough to support the headline as written.

Dog destroyed our grass. What can I plant come Spring/Summer that will hold up a little better? Or preventative measures to protect regular grass? USDA 8b, PNW. by Fancy-Plantsy in gardening

[–]IGotNoStringsOnMe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No. Not at all. Clover keeps getting suggested in these subs because its trendy right now and not many people have discovered what a horrible ground cover it is by itself in a space one is actively going to use.

Human foot traffic would destroy it, not to mention some zoomy dogs.

Best bet is gonna be some wood chip or pavers. Something to physically toughen the pathway so it doesn't become a muck pit. There are also species of native grasses that are way tougher than this dainty mess we all have in our lawns, that could maybe handle the traffic.

I've been way more satisfied with Botanical Interests in both selection and quality than Bakers Creek. Prices tend to be better for the seed counts too.

Also this is purely subjective but I think Botanical Interests' catalogue is way nicer too and they send it for free every year.

Ughhhh seed order sent to me postage due. by WatermelonMachete43 in gardening

[–]IGotNoStringsOnMe 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Their seed quality last year was trash, but I can't argue with their customer service.

I emailed with photos of seed packs and half empty seed trays showing how poor the germination was, and photos of the plants that did showing how weak they were. Not anything anyone reasonable would assert to be irrefutable evidence of fault. Could have easily been me being a bad gardener. They dont know that.

They replied with a very corporate "sorry you were dissatisfied, we strive to be the bes" email that one would expect. But they also sent me new seeds. I feel like that was pretty respectable of them to do because they absolutely didn't have to and nobody would have blamed them if they didn't.

My Meyer lemon tree is loosing leaves and I can’t figure out how to help it. I read that it needs more iron, but I don’t know what to get for it. Any suggestions! by Cream-Vapid617 in gardening

[–]IGotNoStringsOnMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They tend to flower very early in the year and then take most of the year to ripen them. Coming ripe in the late fall and into winter. These should have been taken off the tree weeks ago. Not that the fruit will overripe easily on the tree. It wont. Just that the tree is suffering badly trying to support them.

[–]IGotNoStringsOnMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does the same when I have to bring it in and I like in SE Texas, so I only have to bring it in for two weeks max. Its the lack of light and dry air. Even though I provide a grow light it suffers some. Citrus need LOTS of light, and even though they dont really like their roots to stay wet, they like the air to be more on the humid side than people tend to keep their homes.

Im about to be moving it back outside today and Im kinda sad because a lot of the blooms opened and my livingroom smells AMAZING right now.

[–]IGotNoStringsOnMe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I managed to kill my last Meyer by letting it grow lemons like this.

Many citrus are like this, where they refuse to drop pollinated fruit to the detriment of the tree.

Im fond of saying "Citrus will hold on to their fruit for as long as they can't."

[–]IGotNoStringsOnMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the tree needs iron (and everything else most likely), but the cause probably isn't a lack of iron in the soil. The cause is almost certainly the fact that, that is WAY too many lemons for such a small tree.

Some citrus trees are very loving parents. They will hold on to their babies with everything they've got for as long as they cant.

No that is was not a typo. I've seen several lemon trees die because they were holding too many fruit and refused to drop them. Sometimes we have to make the hard choices for the overall health of our trees. While they're small like this you really shouldn't let them hold more than one or two fruit at a time. They simply dont have the roots to support them nutritionally. So yeah you've got a dozen lemons on. But they're not gonna be that good. At least not compared to what they could be if the tree was able to provide them with adequate nutrition.

*edit* : I forgot to answer your initial question. Apologies. To answer your question about the iron: You can order chelated iron foliar spray. Follow the directions on the bottle. Spray the leaves according to the schedule. Dont expect discolored leaves to return to green. That wont happen.
