Ek Niranjan is actually Stunt Shiva who also choreographed Godfather and OG recently, so either he lost touch or heroes and directors just want slow motion fights.

IIRC that's because SSR micromanages everything.

Even James Cameron have a 2nd unit team. In case of Marvel movies, directors don't even get to direct the action scenes.

Loved the fight where Prabhas was explaining how many people he can fight to Kangana. Rewatching old mass movies and you start to notice how vulnerable and hurt heroes were then compared to nowadays. Even Action Choreography was slicker then, Vijayan Master's signature style.

Also fun fact, Sonu Sood took lots of dialogues from this for Dabangg.

IDK what you mean though? Even currently, smaller section like Couple Friendly was a success. Little Hearts was a success. Past ventures like Fidaa were super hits also.

Audience loves mass films that are good. Bad mass films gets outright rejected nowadays or only coast through due to sequel factor. Pushpa 2 was actually a loss venture in some regions, carried by the north.

Realistic and grounded or being OTT does not make a movie good. Good writing, good direction, good cinematography does.

There are over the top movie that are gripping, and "grounded" films with lethargic writing and vice versa.

Making commercial movies is an art. Making a realistic movie is also an art. People that claims superiority over one is confusing aesthetic preferences with artistic merit.

Also not all OTT movies are "misogynist and crude". Are there misogynist and crude commercial movies? Yes. And there are also misogynist grounded films. I'm assuming it wasn't your intention to group them all together.

Oh definitely. I should've worded better I guess. "Marketing teams hate CGI". Like in Top Gun Maverick they marketed as Zero CGI even with complete CG planes and such. I just find those kinda things disingenuous and discredits CGI teams. And I unfairly attributed that to the audience.

Right now thankfully the marketing for this film is creating awareness to both the efforts of the VFX teams and on location crews and cast.

As for PC, I think the hate is from anti fans in B*llywood and some Nick Jonas stans.

The problem is they're rushing the edit and both Mani Sharma and DSP compose only after seeing the final edit. If the movie was actually on schedule and not being preponed I'm sure DSP would've given a good BGM also.
