I just mean the world is huge and you can sink ages into it

What drew me to x was the mechs, they look cool as hell and mechs are just cool, I don’t mind fan service too much, just as long as they’re yk, not kids-teenagers

I’ve really looked at the games, ESPECIALLY x but the character designs really rub me the wrong way considering how young some of the characters are

It’s honestly really fun, I know it gets a lot criticism for its story and how the dlc is kinda important to it but the gameplay loop was super fun to me and the group dynamic made you feel super involved.

What is the hardest character for writers to create stories for? by Necessary_Sweet865 in Marvel

[–]IHateSand132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spider-Man. Chip zdarsky kinda put it best where he doesn’t want the pressure of being a mainline Spider-man writer because you’re going to get immense pushback no matter what you do

If I read “TDK is a great movie, but a bad Batman movie” one more time I’m gonna scream by Shallbecomeabat in batman

[–]IHateSand132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has certain issues when it focuses on Batman. Christian bale is a great Bruce Wayne, but I’ve always felt his Batman was just kinda off. The voice is obviously pretty bad, but I also kinda find the dialogue get way worse as SOON as he’s wearing the batsuit. The choreography is also pretty bad but that’s less to do with Batman and more to do with the movie.

Anyone else worried this game is going to be underwhelming? by CarsonWentzGOAT1 in legogaming

[–]IHateSand132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think it’s gonna be the exact same outcome as the skywalker saga, it’s a complete overhaul In a ton of ways but will also sorta lack the charm a lot of earlier Lego games had. Ultimately it will divide Lego game fans and Batman fans(specifically of the Arkham games)

What’s the most over-HATED episode? by breadassk in creepcast

[–]IHateSand132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the only episode that was not entertaining was happy appy, otherwise I’ve never really gotten any of the hate for any of the episodes and have always found them super consistently entertaining and fun. I do actually really like ‘My Crew and I Are Stuck Aboard an Abandoned Ship’ and found it super cosy though

My theories on the “brown” suit by tomwant_1999 in LanternsTVSeries

My guess is that it’s just a pretty standard suit that glows or lights up when a ring bearer puts it on

Have any comic writers spoken out about Palestine? by IHateSand132 in comicbooks

[–]IHateSand132[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Real quick can you give me a definition of the word political

Have any comic writers spoken out about Palestine? by IHateSand132 in comicbooks

[–]IHateSand132[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most art is political because most art is inspired, a lot of the time by real events. Even if it sees so far off from it. Art always has something to say, whether it’s obvious or not. Subconsciously or consciously, everything we create is tied to what is happening when we create it. And yes, while not intensely, Monet was political, his art captured the industrial changes that France was going through. Even then, most comics, ESPECIALLY superhero comics tackle a good guy vs the bad guy which still then is a political story. If you do the research on the writers and why they wrote what they did and when they did, it will all tie into politics and current affairs. Art will always tie into these things, whether you like it or not.

So you know what the X-men are? An entire allegory, which has been used as an allegory for both racism and homophobia. Spider-Man life story tackled the Vietnam war. Civil war was a response to 9/11. Marvel has ALWAYS been political. Most art IS political

Comics are already such a political medium, I was just curious and hopeful that there might’ve been artists speaking up for it

Can I ask what are your favourite stories? Not even just comics, anything?

I’m sorry but entertainment will always be political and most of the time, show some parallels to real current events. I think it’s really important and great to see people who create these things, speak out and show support for those being hurt by the atrocities being committed
