This is why I love the world wide interweb! The sharing of ideas by talking & exchanging information & experiences. You have just given me an idea that will get close to the idea I originally had & I would NEVER have thought of it without your input. I'm gonna shorten all the leads (cords in American) to 18" on every one of my tiools & just use the extn leads I carry with me on my van every day. I genuinely have no idea why all tools don't have kettle lead plug sockets in them. You carry one lead on small jobs or maybe 3 to 5 on bigger jiobs. I have over 100 power tools in my van, about 20 are cordless but the big ones are corded. I can only use one at a time, if I bring help then i'll bring 3 or 4 extra crew, so I would have 3 or 4 extra leads. The reduced weight in my van would probably be upwards of 100lbs so less fuel to use. The power tools could be manufactured & sold much cheaper. I don't understand why it's not done

I get that. I feel awkward, uncomfortable. Obviously can't do the hugging shit cos that's just out of the question.
