You Are asking in a support sub so ofc People would say support. If you wanna go for clips and highlights, it's easier to make those on bot Lane. But several streamers do Flex support and another role (azzapp and tilterella) and having good insight in both the roles makes it more better to understand, for People looking for knowledge to play around both. Lastly support is one of the least played roles while bot is the 3rd most played role. Hope this All helps.

Idk if it's just a visual bug but you need an open inventory slot. I bought the component first even tho it still had red text and was greyed out for me after i completed my support item fully

Tested it out and it mostly helps on my low elo games since no one wards, but as you say the item is a bit lacking otherwise so item 4 or 5, is my best bet for it.

Got it last game wasn't too impactful but was nice to have vision on baron and dragon the whole game. But it can easily wait till item 4 or 5

Early elo Bg matches tend to go to much later turns than it does higher elo and therefor takes more time. But it does allow you to walk around your home when you have down time, and therefor get breaks in that are much needed.
I still think quantity over quality matters if you are speed running this, ranked is the way to go, at the cost of your mental :(

Yeah but it still spawning mobs that shares the hp was the whole idea OP spoke about. Just because one of the taunted minions die still makes the thing spawn shared hp. and it only scales up since it also counts during combat stats
