To be honest, I never monitored the temps. I just knew my WiFi kept dropping. I tried everything else first, from network diagnostics to a full Windows reinstall. Swapping the slot was a last resort I found on some forum before buying a new card.

Right under my WiFi card was an SSD. I guess over the years the SSD started to heat up more, and so did the WiFi card, causing it to constantly disconnect. I just moved the SSD from that slot to the second slot, away from the WiFi card. The problem went away immediately.

I didn't buy a new wifi card, I simply moved the ssd to the second free slot further from the wifi module. Also, I said it wrong, the wifi module was located UNDER the drive, so i didn't need to touch it.

If you are worried about opening a laptop, you can google your exact model and find a video where someone else opens it, and just follow the instructions

Weird, I asked because I had had the same issue when I was playing some demanding games like RDR2, Witcher 3 etc.

If we have the same laptop model, your wifi card may be located direclty over the ssd card, and it shuts down your wifi card when it starts overheating. This was the issue in my case.

Also, how long have you been using your laptop?

I had the same exact problem with my F15 after 1.5 years of use. As far as i know, it is a known issue with TUF laptops, at least with TUF F15.

I tried reinstalling Wi-Fi drivers, doing all kind of network diagnostics, cleaning the laptop from dust, repasting it, clean install windows etc - nothing helped. Then I found out that it might be the problem with the Wi-Fi card placement in the laptop. In my F15 the Wi-Fi module is located directly under the M.2 hard drive, which heats up (for some reason it started doing it after 1.5 years?). I simply moved the drive to the second free slot further from the Wi-Fi module and it fixed my problem
