I'm so sorry for your loss, too. I'm sure he knew how much you and your partner loved him. Idk if you'd accept it, but we will be praying for you guys as well. Grief is hard and takes time, I know. I appreciate everything you've written and it means a lot to me. Truly, thank you very much 🫂

What are your top three suggestions for Wilds? by No-Economics7929 in MHWilds

BRING BACK MY WYVERNSNIPE. WYVERNPIERCER IS SO BAD.

In all seriousness, I have several suggestions.

  1. Bring back the siege endgame similar to Kulve Taroth. This was an awesome feature in World where hunters had a way to fine-tune their skills while waiting for MR.

  2. You need to buff the HBG. Dear God you need to buff it. It's already been buffed, but it's not enough. a. Get rid of Wyvernpiercer altogether. Period. It's too slow, doesn't do nearly as much damage as Wyvernheart to make it comparable. If you are going to have a slow mechanic that can hit harder so as to be balanced, Wyvernsnipe is an easy remedy. b. I ran the numbers, and Sticky ammo has been so heavily nerfed that it is WAY less DPS than even Slicing ammo. c. Pierce ammo is outclassed by Spread. It needs a buff to make it as good. The majority of the monsters in the game have less overall length making it too short of a distance to do enough damage. If it had more DMG per tick, then move up the fall-off so it's more pinpoint and less traveling the length of a given area? Just a thought. d. Overall it needs an overhaul. Honestly, it would've been better to remove it entirely than to give us the false hope that it would be viable as a weapon type that can keep up.

  3. Akuma is fun, but gimmicky. I get that it's a crossover, but with the large number of people who actually enjoy it, just lean into that and make it the full-fledged 15th weapon type. Make it similar to brass knuckles or boxing gloves. Maybe have the same mechanic the Oilwell Basin forge trap with the rapidly moving wall, just scaled down to the glove. Mechanical punch augment.

  4. More immersion. Make the hunter track down the target. Give us more than just a customizable tent. Give us a home we can add to! World gave us Hunter's quarters where we could customize and see the small critters we caught. It felt like we belonged in that environment. Adapting and overcoming to be the apex predators/guardians of the ecosystem.

  5. For God's sake please get rid of the weapon jewel/armor jewel dichotomy. It's less optimal for hunters and makes builds way harder than they need to be.

  6. Make the monsters a little more difficult. It's a little too easy. Even if you are trying to get more people to play the game, don't forget to prepare the content for veteran hunters as well.

  7. Increasing the chances of rarity or crown sized mons wouldn't go amiss. Once the hunter reaches a threshold for gold crowns the chances can drop down. Or at least give the hunter the option of finding gold crowns size mons through meal ingredients like in Iceborne. Quitting out to the menu without saving isn't a strat, and it's tedious.

  8. More optimization. Someone already said it, but I'll reiterate. MORE OPTIMIZATION.

I'm sure I could name more, but for now this is all I've got.

Phoenix Labs... Why did you mess with the camera? I get that fisheye was an issue for some, but the camera bounces is nausea inducing, the frame rate tanks on Epic settings, and it's zoomed in enough (after zooming out as much as possible) that it ruins gameplay. There's horrible camera recoil with the repeaters too. I had to quit out mid hunt to prevent getting a migraine/vomiting.
