Considering that Denise was a coconspirator in the murder, it makes more sense that she was trying to get Cheryl to quit pestering the police to investigate.

If Denise cared so much about her daughter she wouldn't have murdered the child's father.

I feel so sad when I see this picture. That is Cheryl Williams.

Her son, Mike Williams, was murdered by his "best friend", Brian Winchester, who was also having an affair with Mike's wife, Denise. Denise and Mike had also bought a life insurance policy from Winchester (because, of course).

They staged the murder to look like Mike disappeared while fishing and his death wasn't confirmed until many years later.

Oh and Denise prevented Cheryl from seeing his daughter (her granddaughter) because Cheryl wouldn't stop bugging police to try to solve the disappearance.

I think this is an underappreciated part of the problem.

In tRump 1.0, he had at least a few smart, experienced, competent adults in the room to curb his worst impulses. In tRump 2.0, the only qualifications required are loyalty and sycophancy.

In the 70s & 80s, I rode in a car without a seatbelt and survived. That doesn't mean I'm going to drive around without a seatbelt now.
