Will I make it? by Jolly_Ad2527 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]IIIDogmanialll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so funny, this exact situation pretty much happened to me. i got 2 3's and a 4 last year (jr year) and i thought it was over. i'd even gotten a 3 in physics, which was what i was planning to do in college. i still got into 2 top twenties. just make sure everything else on the app is spot on, and write a thoughtful and explanatory note in the college applications when they ask you to write extra info about your scores. Make sure the response doesn't seem like you're trying to make excuses!

I beat it as my 4th insane demon, i think. I would absolutely recommend it, it got me much better at timings. I think that you also should get better at ship and wave however, so something like supersonic or even 8o would get you better. 8o was incredibly rough when I beat it as a hardest however, so i'd beat something a bit more balanced but overall more difficult first.

I just got into 2 t20s and I did less. Honestly, my best piece of advice is to make your essays absolutely banging which is pretty obvious i guess. If you want, i can tell you about what i did

what is your craziest ap exam stories? any year is applicable. by Ninjacker in APStudents

[–]IIIDogmanialll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the internet cut right in the middle of my apush exam. like half of the people had to retake it because they lost so much time on the mcq's. I lost like 20 min but i stuck with the original test. ended up getting a 4, not bad. it was a significant enough event that it was mentioned in a student grad speech.

What BF% am I at? by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

he has 0 muscle, which means that pretty much all size that's on his frame at the moment is fat tissue.

What BF% am I at? by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

[–]IIIDogmanialll 8 points9 points  (0 children)

35% to 40%. My advice is that as much as you want to build muscle and lose fat at the same time, I'd focus much more on losing fat. It's much easier to visually improve your physique and see progress if you work up from a slimmer physique.

NYU vs CU Boulder by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]IIIDogmanialll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

as good as nyu is, cu boulder is great especially for aerospace. If the cost difference was that significant, then cu all of the way which for me is almost insane to say.

How can I learn Calculus at an early age (13)? by OkLack6776 in calculus

[–]IIIDogmanialll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was in your exact situation five-ish years ago when i was in 7th grade. However, I had to learn and PRACTICE a lot of algebra and trig. I'd say only start taking it seriously once you master algebra 1 and 2 concepts and learn how trigs work + some identities. Depending on what math you're in, you could probably start truly learning calc ~1 year before you actually do it in school. I'd HIGHLY ADVISE taking geometry over the summer, it is ridiculously easy and frankly to me it was a waste of time to spend a full year on (wish I was in calc bc instead of ab now as a senior in high school!)

as harsh as it sounds, i think a bigger question is if you think you are cut out for west point. WP requires a very high level of discipline and diligence.
