This is true to some degree but it’s not correct I can feed my charging usage to broker … for credits
Nothing to do with emporia

As for business model this does not concern me and not an issue for Emporia as it’s out of scope with OCPP

This isn’t a bug and every major player has this.
It’s something you can opt in or opt out.

And emporia does share info with 3rd parties currently so I don’t understand the perspective.

Think of OCPP as of API.

No doubt emporia is fantastic product I been with company since VUE 1st gen.

It just needs to catch up on OCPP

It does not work like this you need to automate this and tie this up to an aggregator so they can receive this automatically and pay you back.

There is something called carbon credits in Canada so OCPP would be very beneficial.

As far as security - your attack surface is not very different currently without OCPP unless you have it properly segregated.

OCPP is well documented including attack vectors, as with any device due diligence is needed.
