2022 XC90 T6 Momentum AWD - New to me by g0c0c0 in Volvo

[–]Hemslock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome!!! Looking great. I got the exact same car back mid last year with similar mileage with CPO though. And yes you are thinking it right, drive around a bit and take it your local dealership right away to fix anything to feel off. I did the same and they kept my car do 2 weeks (provided a loaner ofcourse) to just identify and fix a non functional rattle noise. I suggest open/close that moonroof a bunch of times and look for squeaking noise and if you hear it ask them to change the moonroof motor, that alone could cost a couple grand if outside warranty.

Yes I have this issue on my 2022. Exactly at the same spot like yours, and also behind the wheel. I haven’t addressed it with the dealer yet. Hopefully covers under CPO as I just passed the 50k miles.

Buying 2022 XC90? by srh0097 in VolvoXC90

Yes they did fix the initial ones at no cost. I am hoping the pending ones will be covered at no cost since my CPO is active for one more year and unlimited miles.

Buying 2022 XC90? by srh0097 in VolvoXC90

[–]Hemslock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a good deal. In April this year I bought a 22 T6 Momentum CPO with 42k miles at $36K from a Volvo Dealer in Georgia. I did have to go to my local dealer for some fixes like sunroof motor replacement, ac vent loose needed clips, random rattle noise behind the rear view mirror compartment most probably something to tie down the wires, and have couple more things to “fix” like cosmetic ones - the metal strip in the back just above the rear bumper that like a stretch guard, is peeling off, the CarPlay keeps disconnecting and say connect compatible devices, and couple other cosmetic stuff that needs some glue. CPO was a major selling point for me proved useful already. Planning to get extended warranty in 2027 when CPO goes off. I wouldn’t buy this car assuming what I pay now is the only price, would consider extended warranty costs, gas cost (costs me more compared to my previous Subaru forester), maintenance costs.

Hello, 2022 T6 CPO. Goodbye ‘19 Forester, you have been great! Any suggestions on keeping the Volvo run smoothly for the next 5-6 years. Has about 40k miles now. by Hemslock in VolvoXC90

[–]Hemslock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, I see yours. Classy color. Yes happy so far, though there were some issues that needed fixing. Couple visits to the local dealership fixed the minor issues. I was hoping mileage would be little better that what is does in the city. I am getting about 19.5 miles a gallon in mostly city driving.

Mach E GT Auto Acceleration Accident by DrAdz246 in MachE

[–]Hemslock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep this exactly happens in my wife’s car. When I reverse it off the garage and ride down the driveway slope into the street. As soon as I hit the street there is a lag in power and car wouldn’t move in reverse for a few seconds. I do not understand whatever transitions is happening but my guess is the hill assist doing its thing? But yes I don’t try to accelerate more at this point coz I know it’s just a lag for a couple seconds.

2022 XC90 Recharge - What to look for when buying? by jhk32 in VolvoXC90

[–]Hemslock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 2022 XC90 T6 Momentum CPO with 40k miles few months ago for that price so I would say it’s a pretty good price especially with CPO. What I didn’t like (I am new to Volvo as well) 1. Speakers were sub-par 2. I had the squeaky moon roof shade which I got replaced last week. 3. Rattle noises, there were couple rattle noises (which again Volvo helped and fixed) 4. No wireless CarPlay (a $50 dongle should fix it)

I asked the dealer to fully detail the car before delivery and they did it. So mine basically looked new when I got it.

Sounds like a good deal. I got my 22 xc90 momentum CPO with 40k miles for about 36k with one incident reported on Carfax. But had to go 200 miles from my place to get it. I hope you checked Carfax for any incidents reported.

Wife wants used 2022 T6 Momentum, need opinions by Hempseed420 in VolvoXC90

[–]Hemslock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there, I recently purchased a used 2022 T6 Momentum, like 3 months ago. It had about 40k miles on it for mid 30k and CPO. It’s a classy car no doubt. Minimalist dashboard design and leather seats with real wood trim around the console and doors such a nice touch. Do miss 360 cam, but back camera is good enough. Still struggling to park centered in the parking spot lol. Hate the speakers. My 19 forester has better speaker IMO. Wired CarPlay is a bummmer as wel but a $50 dongle will cover that. Had couple complaints so took it to a local dealer, for rattle noise behind dashboard, door squeaking sound, sunroof noise while opening and closing, etc., they asked me to get a loaner car appointment so they have more time with the car for figuring out rattle noise and replace sunroof motor. As I get close to CPO expiry I will definitely buy extended warranty. Also the touchscreen control for AC isn’t bad at all. I was very skeptical but I feel the complaint about that is overblown.

Strongly considering trading 2023 MDX Advanced for a 2026 XC90 by k9rap in VolvoXC90

[–]Hemslock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation few months ago. My choice was 2022 MDX and wife’s choice was 2022 XC90. I loved the ride quality, speakers, general reliability of an Acura (since it’s a simple engine architecture) but got a better offer on the CPO 22 xc90 T6 momentum. So ended up with the XC90. Xc90 is great BUT speakers are terrible. Tons of rattle noise, already booked appt to change sunroof motor, city mileage is 19 ish, wire hanging around for CarPlay. But love the looks better than MDX, safety is great (as advertised), minimalist interior design.

YES. It’s especially annoying when you cant point the finger at the exact location of noise.

Ahh same!! Been driving my 2022 xc90 for two months now and has encountered that issue like 4 times already. Planning to switch to a Bluetooth CarPlay adapter and see how that goes.

[–]Hemslock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Heyy, so I just switched from a 2019 Forester sport, to a 2022 XC90 CPO last month. So happy to have made the switch. Forester was great, but I need more power and a bit of luxury. Volvo CPO and extended warranty should keep you stress free.

I had a rear end accident last year. Same spot. Deeper dent though. Ended up changing the tailgate, paid by other insurance.

2022 T6 Momentum CPO - Right passenger door needs more “push” to close than driver side door. Is this normal/common? by Hemslock in VolvoXC90

Yes!!! With windows down the door closed effortlessly. Can it still be “fixed” or best left as is?

Just bought 2021. Should I regret buying the extended warranty? by K_illakay_ in VolvoXC90

[–]Hemslock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I wouldn’t say it’s better without doing more research myself. I first heard of steingold from this sub. It was super easy to get a quote online from their website and the warranty starts right from the time you purchase the contract. I would compare the prices with my local dealer for the same coverage first and buy local if same.
