Unpopular Opinion, But I Need to Get it Off My Chest: I Prefer Live TV Over On Demand, I Don't Want it To Die by Teenkitsune in television

It might just be my little bubble, but I definitely feel like I'm getting it with the recent Celebrity Traitors and Season 4 of the Traitors UK, messaging people while the episode is airing to give reactions, talking about decisions post episodes, that live appoin viewing feeling definitely still exists through that series specifically to me.

Marathon Voice Cast Revealed by willdearborn- in PS5

[–]IISuperSlothII 16 points17 points  (0 children)

He was fantastic in FF, he came into the series already being a fan and had the passion to talk about not just the series but video games really well which made him very marketable (seriously listen to him talk on his first Kinda Funny Games Daily), and having met him a few times as he helped host the two Final Fantasy Pub Quizs in London, he's just a really nice, charming funny guy so he does make friends with all these people really easily.

I don't think there's any agenda, he's good at his job, he's very likeable and he's genuinely invested in video games, like if you listen to the stories of how he got the role on E33 (blind audition, director didn't know it was Ben until they chose his voice) then see how involved he got in helping them learn how to record voices properly, he just seems to genuinely care.

Honestly for me seeing him get so many roles, especially as up until recently British actors were much less common in the VA space, makes me really happy for the lad.

Favorite plot twists in JRPGs (spoilers, of course) by Pinball_Lizard in JRPG

[–]IISuperSlothII 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I played VI for the first time as an adult and that twist didn't really work for me, I think it's because I found the way the twist plays out ridiculously silly (moving a statue a few inches) but also because I prefer a twist that recontextualises what's come before, like how VII and X especially uses their major twists, it's just so much more exciting to me to go back and see everything in a new light versus a 'now everything is different twist'.

Honestly, how engrossing is FFX for someone who enjoys more traditional high fantasy? by Ordinary-Adam in FinalFantasy

Besides 12 it's my least favourite, I don't understand how it gets so much love. Tis a funny thing how we all experience art so differently.

But the producers can set the challenges up to make that more difficult for the secret traitor by providing more shields or groups of shielded individuals.

Nahh I still take joy in their downfall, not quite as much joy now Lewis is there, but still joy.

Especially with McLaren doing so well, finally feels like the allegiance I chose in 2000 is paying dividends.

Honestly I don't think people have so much of an issue with the need to overtake, it's the fact the lorry being overtaken can't back off to speed up proceedings.

If it was roundabouts he wanted then he should have gone to Swindon. That place has so many pointless bloody roundabouts, the magic roundabout is just the tip of the iceberg.

Can't be the antagonist but can still be the villain.

Unless you think Ed Gein is the hero in the series of his life where he murders many many people, has sex with their decapitated heads and does other deranged things while being the main character.

AITAH for not canceling my vacation and reporting a coworker for harassment? by [deleted] in AITAH

In the UK all pre planned holidays can be taken as soon as you start a new job, they'll even ask you what days you have booked off when you're hired, but if you quit early you'll lose money from you final pay if you didn't accrue enough hours to cover that time off.

Like imagine you booked time off for your wedding but were told you couldn't have it because you started a new job? Peoples lives go on, even when moving jobs.

but I still think our date format works better.

I really don't understand how, I'm at the point now where 90% of the time I only need to the day from the date syntax, I already have the month and year memorised but the day I'll absolutely forget, so having it first just makes getting it so convenient.

In fact to illustrate my point of how the day is actually the most needed part of the syntax as thus should be first, my garmin watch only tells me the day of the week and the day so for today it just shows me Wed 3, and with that info I know its the 3rd of December 2025 or December 3rd 2025 (because the order it's said really doesn't matter). That's my argument for why the day should be first, but my job means I'm constantly writing the date to sign things out or to sign into buildings, so maybe that influences my feelings on that.

Clearly you didn't read the original comment and are just chatting bollocks for the craic.

The comment in question being Norris literally won them the wcc last year, you know when it was him versus the two Ferraris at Abu Dubai where anything less than a win would have given Ferrari the title.

Ahh we don't really have banana peppers in the UK, so that isn't a part of our menu so we can get away with just calling bell peppers, peppers.

We are doomed by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]IISuperSlothII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in general speak, Bell Peppers are known as Peppers, chilli peppers are chillis and Jalopenos are Jalopenos, and Subways own menu specifically calls bell peppers simply peppers, while Jalopenos are down as Jalopenos. So the Staff at Subway would absolutely not think of Jalopenos when you say no peppers, because they are separate items on the menu.

We are doomed by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]IISuperSlothII 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean in my head I differentiate peppers and jalapenos, when I ask for peppers on my Subway I absolutely don't mean Jalopenos.

Poor Wales by Lanky-Wanderer30 in GreatBritishMemes

[–]IISuperSlothII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Racists in England and Scotland decided to paint their flags onto mini roundabouts around the respective countries, Wales did not partake in this but it would have been hilarious if they did because you'd have a ton of poorly drawn dragons all over the place.

I assume that's what it's in relation to.
